The horn pad/air bag cover on our '10 PPV is pretty scratched up, and I'd like to replace it. It looks like the PO sat with his hand on the top of the horn pad, and scratched at the bow tie with his thumbnail(s).

I haven't looked at it in detail, but I'm sure the cover can come off of the air bag, and the cover is all we need. So anyone parting out a Tahoe, or has some misc. wheel parts laying around, LMK.

Thanks.

The bow tie is one thing, the scratches on the round part surrounding it is another.

But I'll have a look to see how much of a difference cleaning the gold off the bow tie makes. Thanks.

Lee, exactly how did you clean that off? I tried scraping it with a thumb nail last time we were driving in it, and no dice. Thanks.

I did it with my Talon Claws......

LOL

I just scrapped it with my finger nail.

Mine is a 2009 so maybe they changed the coating?

Not sure.

Must have, 'cause I'm not touching it with my nails, and they're pretty strong. Maybe I'll try again when the truck is back in the garage, which isn't often. :)
