Music outside my 99 2 door???

I want to put a speaker or two on the outside of my truck. I want to be able to switch them on and off. I need help!! What speaker do I use? How do I wire them up? please and thank you!

just have them on a separate amp with a switch on the remote wire for the amp.

then just wire that into my headunit?

do you have a factory or aftermarket stereo?

Factory will be a bit tricky but you can still do it

Just make sure they are marine speakers. I did this once in one of my old trucks. Had some waterproof 6x9s in the front 2 corners of the bed. Did just what Nathan said, had them hooked up to a toggle switch.

Then you'll use an amp kit, hooked up to RCA's... just like a regular system. Just hook it up to the front RCA outputs, and put a switch on the remote turn on wire from the radio to the amp.


If you're not 100% sure on how to do this, PLEASE pay a professional. I've seen cars burn down because of bad wiring.
