Walk from your dealer....1100 status for MONTHS??? Are you kidding? I ordered my first Denali in March, drove it away in May. Your dealer doesn't have any allotments because he can't sell shit.

However, that is a screwed up system on GMs part.
A customer is a customer, regardless of what dealer they order from. They should be produced in the order they are received. Period.
The allotment sits squarely on number of units sold prior. If a dealership's order isn't being built (i.e. sitting at 1100) that CLEARLY means that GM won't accept their order to build the vehicle since they don't have a spot for that dealer. If another dealer is placing an order after yours and is delivering an ordered vehicle while yours is still waiting to be built...it means your dealer just doesn't have a spot....and that's because they have earned that spot.
Frankly, there's no other reason
That is the way they operating system and in my case I will said I'm from jersey and I when to my regular dealer and is the biggest in the area, but guests what the lie to me by 7 weeks and when I blow out in the phone with gm after I find out I go get my deposit and I told the manager the real status of my car he all must have heart attack .With all due respect....
Do you see how incredibly absurd that statement is, especially if somehow it is true?
My dealer is Robert Basil Cad/GMC.
The Basil dealerships are one of the largest family dealerships in the country. Their Chevy Store is in the top 10 in the world. Great people with huge volume numbers. This latest GMC store was acquired late last fall. It's enormous.
The string of sold Denalis behind me sits at 15, with only three previous built units delivered. Explain that?
Tell me why any of that makes a hill of beans?
I have never waited over 6 weeks for any cookie cutter GM model order in my entire life, and I've ordered a bunch in the past 10 years.
This silliness falls directly on GM, and certainly isn't the dealers fault.
If I ordered this unit from joe blow GMC in Podunk town USA, the unit should be built and delivered no matter how many sold. Just how does GM expect those dealerships to pay their bills? They must earn the right to order something they can't get built on a timely manner?
BTW, just one illogical logical question, how do you "earn" a spot if you can't sell the product?
And now, GM has systematically screwed their customers by s
Ellington them outdated merchandise by nicely cleaning up their 6 speed transmissions on one of their most expensive model.
In hindsight, I'm THRILLED my unit was delayed in order to get the 8.
Wow what a bunch of children we have here. Grown ass men telling poeple that just spent $70k+ their shit sucks and it's obsolete. I thought this was a place to collaborate on a common interest we all have. Grow the hell up and talk about information that brings value to all of us. I bet most of these *******'s that are saying the 2015 sucks aren't old enough to even drive or just can't afford such a truck. It's getting really hard to read these forums with people that don't know what they're talking about. What i can't wait for is when someone like us actually gets beside their brand new 8 speed and tell us how great it is. All we have now are *******'s that see 8 speed on paper saying it's the best transmission that's ever come out in the history of automotive without even seeing any specs\tests from the manufacturer.
Jack ass.

Grow Up.
Afford.
******* again.
Are these "collaborating" comments directed at me?
I don't want to respond unless we clear this up...

I would venture to say a Private Message would be sufficient. [emoji106]
I agree with everything you just said. All I was saying was chill on putting everyone down about thier 2015 purchase. And I'm not crying like a little ***** about it all I was saying it's getting really old.I think most are basing their statements on their experience with other manufacturers' 8 speeds, which, by and large, have proven to be markedly superior to their six speed units (BMW, Audi, etc.). Initial takes on the Corvette's new 8 speed also appear to be very positive. Who can argue with better acceleration, smoother shifts and better fuel economy? Also, I don't really think that anyone is being a ******* about it. In fact, the criticism that GM half-assed the release of this car as it pertains to the transmission issue is very valid. To be relieved that they didn't spend $70K plus only to find out that GM had been hiding this in their back pocket is fair.
Chill George I enjoy your posts here and the Cadillac forums. Not directed at you.Jack ass.

btw you being a Ford guy you should know GM's not the only manufacturer that unloads inventory on new models. Isn't the new 2015 aluminum F150 coming with a 6 speed?I agree with everything you just said. All I was saying was chill on putting everyone down about thier 2015 purchase. I agree 100% with you GM unloaded thier 6 speed inventory on us but it doesn't suck.
I think I have carried myself as an adult, so when something is posted that may discredit my character, it needs to be posted on the same forum.

I know man you just happend to be the last posts so it looked like my comments were thrown at you. I was on vacation the last week and this morning catching up on the forums all I read is what a shit head I am for buying this truck. Really doest bother me i could care less. I'm pretty fortunate to be able to trade mine back in and not feel it but I'm not that stupid. And I'd be lying to you if I told you I didn't want the 8 speed. I'm a gear head so I would love it but it just didn't work out that way and I'm super happy with the 6 speed. But there might be poeple here that saved up a long time to buy their dream truck they intent to keep for a very long time. They want to come here to learn about the truck not to hear how bad it sucks because it has a great 6 speed.I think you are being overly sensitive to the 6 speed thing.
Since GM has blocked me out for over 7 months, I currently have an option. I am choosing to wait further for the 8, as I am sure you would if given the same scenario.
I would never "rub" something as silly as a transmission in to anyone here. That would make me a jack ass and childish. That was never my intent, so I hope you understand that. If I insinuated differently somehow, and if my post was taken out of context, I apologize. My anger lays directly on the way GM does business.
I think I have posted many times that if I had my choice, I would have taken the 6 and enjoyed the vehicle for this past summer. When using the word "thrilled", at least I have some small victory here, and I see how you may have taken offense to that..
I still feel the same way. For those who have been enjoying their 2015 vehicles, know that we have been stuck in our 10' Tahoe when we would have rather been traveling in a new Denali with a hydromatic 2 speed.... enjoying the vehicle is worth more than waiting for any trans update IMO. We are going on two trips. One to DC, and the other to the Outer Banks in our old truck. Pisses me off..
What sucks here is GM. We all were screwed in different ways.
