Mods I'm considering

Here's a list of mods I'm considering:

LED DRL (I read I will need to add LED protectors so they don't blow)
Depo projector headlights (I read I will need to put foosballs behind them to avoid shaking from potholes)
Volant CAI
MTX Thunderform
LED Interior + exterior lights
New wheels (I would keep my tires and sell current wheels)
Street Scene Speed Grille

I think I want but not sure yet:
HD Hood
Esky vents

Lots of mods....break them down into areas and start with one area at a time.
I'd do exterior then performance then interior.

HD hood and Depos are well worth it. It totally changed the look of mine. You'll want to throw clear turn signal housing on that list if you don't already have them.

I don't really like the HD hood. To me it makes the front end look more like a brick. I would rather have a cowl hood.

So far I've gotten the new wheels and installed the MTX Thunderform. Still have a few loose ends to take care of...

I had rusty brake lines replaced with stainless steel lines so now I can pick up where I left off... The Speed Grill is on the way

If you want to save a few dollars, go with Airaid's MIT, or Airaid jr. Instead of the Volant. Half the price, and Airaid offers more flow + cooler intake temps (Justin @ Blackbear Dyno'd them and posted comparison). The Airaid MIT was tested with the OEM Paper filter.

You'll be happy with the Airaid MIT. I got mine used on eBay for $70.

Are you happy with the thunderform? Do you have the factory bose system?

Yes, it's just enough bass, not overbearing. I can see my rear view mirror shaking so it definitely pumps. I still have some things left to take care of this weekend to complete the install...like cutting the hole in the trim for the speaker grille, and insulating the space between the sub and the body of the truck. I also have to mount the jack bracket in the storage compartment and figure out a good spot to put the rest of the jack tools.

No I replaced the factory system with a Kenwood DPX500BT
