Well ive been doing this for a while and today did a 07 and a 09 (posting pics a little later) and BOTH have the notches in rear for the trailblazer ss airbags. So if any of you guys want to airbag the back of your truck just check to see if your oem upper mounts have these 3 slots. GM used the same brackets for the trailblazer ss as the tahoes and vise versa. All you would need to do is get a 06 up trailblazer ss airbag kit (original gm part the aftermarket ones rub frame) and a 5/32 hose which connects to the trailblazer ss air bag then run a 5/32 to a 1/4 inch adapter and your set just add a compressor system (airlift)

Now when installing these airbags ride height is about a 2.5 to 3 inch drop and then you can let all the air out and the axle will sit on the frame. You will need the rear djm hardware kit with bumpstops which i have for 190 shipped (07 up models) and you will need to do the free travel mod. I HIGHLY recommened the spohn rear del sphere lower/upper bars and poly panhard bar with grease and del sphere tool which i sell for 665 shipped. That will prevent the axle getting the sucked forward look and wont push the driveshaft into the trans when laid down

If you guys have any questions feel free to ask.

Here is a pic of the upper bracket on the tahoe which makes the tbss airbag a bolt in deal

on the right you can see the trailblazer ss airbag ears up top which spin right in

Will depend on the weight in the rear. 3 inch drop is about 60-65 lbs. Never really checked higher The bags can go up to 120 the most I put into it just to see lift and was much higher than stock in rear.

all you need is
tbss airbags
5/32 to 1/4 inch adapter for the line
then you can do the 1/4 inch line to a compressor like the wireless air 72000 which i do for the trailblazer ss's

here is a little how to i did for the trailblazer ss which you can use the same compressor and mounting area for the tahoes. Or those on a budget you can just use a onboard small compressor from airlift and lift and lower from inside the cab.

Anything keeping someone from wiring up a factory Autoride (not currently equipped) with these springs? I like the idea of rear air bags!

waste of time. Your better off getting the wireless air by airlift to run the bags or if you dont mind running lines into the cab they have cheaper compressor set ups

Tony, how does the ride quality and ride height compare to the belltech 5305 springs with spacer in?

The tbss bags actaully ride pretty well at 3 inch level once you go 4 and lower ride does suffer. One things for sure the tbss bags do ride A LOT better then keldermans bags at any height.

yes there is a member here that is local to me. I think he has been talking to someone on this board because they sent him to me. rear i ended up doing shock extenders and djm hardware kit but truck was rubbing brake lines on frame so didnt do free travel mod since its a ssbc brake set up and ssbc brakes loop way out.

Doing the extenders and djm endlink kit did help but still hes not happy. I told him once he fixes brakes and bracket is cut off we can see how it is. if he doesnt like it we can swap in the tbss airbags and he will be much happier.

I showed nate the pics of the rear brake lines im glad I caught it because the customer could have had a really bad accident.

Also there have been a few lurkers here that have done the same i walked them thru the set up and they kept the front bagged set up and put the rears on with some 5/32 to 1/4 adapters and then hooked it back up and in all cases for 150 bucks they said they love the ride. Maybe they could change the rear kit set up oh and lift... the tbss bags give 7 inches of lift if needed and they can tow 6000 pounds NO ISSUES.

If anyone here has any kit in rear and not happy and if you have the same holes on your 07 up as the pic I posted in the first thread trust me on this. Get the trailblazer ss airbags in rear with some 5/32 air line and a 5/32 to a 1/4 inch adapter and trust me you will be very happy with the combination just make sure to use the djm rear hardware kit along with my bumpstops and do the free travel mod.

I also did a suburban for i think these guys few months ago
http://www.sanfranciscolimo.com/ or sflimo.com was one of those companies.

they do tours to san francisco and load it up to airport and the truck i did a 1.5 drop on pass side and 1 inch on drivers (has the gm lean) in front but rear i did the belltech sp shocks and the tbss bags and the driver said right away ride was better and he could put 7 people in the truck and load i up with suitcases in rear and air up the bags and there would be no sag and with the occupants all in the truck ride was much smoother vs stock springs/shocks oh they ran the airlift wireless air to control it.

Are there any options for something in the front and have a poor mans air ride?

This looks perfect for what I want.

Level out the rear, still be able to level for towing.

Whats the P# on the bags?

So this is what I'm looking for correct?

Do you have any pictures of these installed?

you can use those but i would change out rear shocks to the belltech street performance.

You will also need a 5/32 airline about 3 feet and a 5/32 to 1/4 inch push to connect union you find at grainger and then the 1/4 incn line from your compressor system.
