Finally! Smooth vent caps!

Finally got some smooth vent caps thanks to my dad. He and out body shop friend took the extra set I had laying around and made them they turned out great and I had no idea he was doing them! Let me know what y'all think. Gonna redo the roof line like WHITEOUT when I get back to work

Yeah they filled the originals he said they hit it with some 80 grit the filled with some bondo then hit again with 80 grit some more bondo sanded and shaped it then painted and cleared

I was gonna give it a shot but never had the time so he took them without me knowing and did it

Dura Glass would have been a much better choice for the first 2 fill coats. It doesn't shrink and crack like Bondo does in thick applications. They do look good.

I put them on hoping you wouldn't like them so we could back and forth about it again lol
Thanks for the compliment tho. Agree to disagree we both have our own styles and some different interests and that's what make all this unique

Looks good man. Way better with color matched smoothies. Very nice of your dad to do that for you. Now blend in the rear trim, be good to go.

Gotta agree with livingez tho. Bondo could cause you issues down the road.

As far a the bondo if it gets me by for a couple years before having problems I'll still be happy shouldn't be that hard to touch back up
