Plasti-Dipped my grille black. Ran out of dip before I could put on a final coat but turned out good. Much better than the dinged up chrome it had before.

I've been considering doing this very thing for a while, I like it. I already have the headlights and painted emblem, and after I get my bumpers made, the grille surround will be the only chrome left on the truck.

Scored today at the junkyard...kinda. I couldn't find the parts I needed, but I did get some parts I wanted.


Denali console, OBS fog and cargo switch, and a NBS fog switch. The switches are going up for sale.

I'm getting envious of everyone finding these deals on consoles. I can't find anything and I've been searching clist and a few yards for like 2 months lol everyone wants 175 bucks for their consoles it seems.

I've passed up 3-4 consoles already because they were trashed. You just have to be lucky I guess. It would have probably been gone if I had waited to go on Saturday.

It's also a dependent on how often they go to the salvage yard. I always feel a bit of envy when my BIL scores a cool backpack or fishing rod or something from the thrift store. Then I realize that he goes 15 times for every 1 time I go.

Since the day I was born with the name "Luke" everyone has called me Luke the Duke. Might put that, or something close to it, in vinyl on the front windshield.

Continued to feed the need to Plasti-Dip. Today was rims.

I guess I got lucky with mine it had everything and like others the rear cup holder was broken but I fixed
It. Total I got 5 of these consoles and sold one . Still don't have one to make a complete one yet again.

i replaced by driver outer wheel bearing a couple days back. sounded god awful for the day prior

Failed smog miserably, found out my timing was way off. LOL So, going to reset the timing and try again tomorrow

Yesterday I hauled in my new to me 18ft dove tail car hauler now I can sell the 16ft utility trailer i was using a a car hauler lol

Replaced rusted out horn behind the grill. Fitted a Fiamm from my stash by bending the bracket then bolting it in the same hole. Even had a GM connector already on it. Horn was much thicker, but it fits behind the concave grill.

Topped off all the fluids

Glued the blower switch to the HVAC center, as the plastic has become brittle and the switch kept sliding off the knob.
