looking to get a winter setup - will this set up work with my 2/3 drop

stock tahoe ltz 20s and bf goodrich all terrain 285/55 r20

That will work. Aren't your wheels genuine gm? With some wax and making sure the salt doesn't sit on them they will last a couple of winters.

yes my current 22s are oem.

the 'making sure the salt doesn't sit on them' statement is why i'm going with a winter set up,,,don't want to or have no way to clean them every time i take they car out of the garage lol

No not at all. 55 series tire will make up the difference on height. Your going -2 on the rim size and +2 on the tire size. Should sit at the same ride height.
