Moved back home yesterday to save some money for a little while. At 5am my mom barged through the door telling me my truck got him out in front of the house. By the time I got downstairs my dad was already haulin arse down the road to find the guy because you could still hear that his horn was locked up and blaring. By the time my dad got to him the cops already had him pulled over. The guy hit my truck so hard his passenger side wheel tore right off. After talking with the police and waiting for the translator to talk to the other driver he was taken into custody for evading the scene and driving under the influence.

Heres the pics. Just got my new tires and plastidipped my wheels about a month ago.

The last pic i was standing where the wheel was. The guy hit the tree on the left and continued driving on the grass with no wheel and turned right onto the street right there where he got pulled over.

:bawl: Got all week off to go camping too so this vacations not really starting off the way id hoped.

been there done that. same thing happened to me but the guy sort of got away. his bumper/license plate fell off but he didn't have insurance anyways. so i had to pay 250$ for my uninsured motorist deductible. not even worth going to court to try and get that back from the guy.

The police said that the guy had the same insurance as me so it should work out fairly easy im hoping. I had my parents mechanic look at it and he said that insurance is most likely going to total it because looking closer at it the rear end is a cocked from when he smashed into the wheel and all the damage to the body

If they total it, see what you could buy it back for. Even if it needs a rear end (maybe 1500-2000) looks like It just needs a bumper, quarter and door skin. Might be worth buying back cheap and fixing if you want to keep it

I know its just a truck to some. But man the Blood, Sweat, and Tears most of us put into a vehicle its more than that to many of us. It makes me sick in my gut to see that somebody's complete disregard for themselves and others causes these kind's of things.

So sorry for your loss. Hopefully you can recover it and turn it into something more. If not pull the bits that make it special and bring new life to another.

That sucks man! I had rear end damage on my last accident and my YXL was totalled.

Hopefully the damage isn't horrible so you can fix it.

Such BS , Ive been rear ended twice here In NJ for people not paying attention , Luckly they were lower speed collisions mostly resulting int my tow hook hitch going through a SAABs and Focus Radiator, Most of the time I see that as pay back enough and plus Im a nice guy . but after my last incident with the SAAB my Transmission went out a week later. His insurance said that it wasn't because of the collision , when I'm pretty sure it played a role. So the next time I get hit Im going straight for bank accounts , Matter of fact I can already feel a kink in my Neck.
