My new wheels/tires came with TPMS stems. Thought I could do the manual procedure to reset them but it didn't work. Did some searching online and found out GM stopped allowing the manual method in late 2011 models. Have to go to dealer or purchase tool. I don't want to go to the dealer every time I rotate my tires so I found these. Anybody have any experience with either tool?

Turn the key to the on position but don't start it up. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time until the horn honks. Start letting air out of the drivers front tire until the horn honks again, then move to passengers front and do the same thing, then passengers rear then drivers rear. Make sure you let air out until the horn honks for each wheel. Turn key off and fill up the tires.

See if that works out

Already tried...twice. Went to owners manual, says you have to have tool. Went to Internet, GM stopped using this procedure starting with late 2011 models.

Yours must have been manufactured before Jan 2011.

Here's what I found online.

"GM Product Engineering has determined that in some instances the manual re-learn
procedure can cause the TPM system to pick up stray sensor signals from nearby vehicles
which can result in Diagnostic Trouble Codes being stored and parts being unnecessarily
replaced. To address this concern GM Product Engineering will be disabling the TPM
manual re-learn capability from the vehicle software starting January 2011."

I did. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow.

White mirrors came in Tuesday. Handles are on their way. White plastidip came today, going to try it out on the front and rear Chevy emblems.

Trying to decide what to do with the chrome grill and surround.

Hey buddy..... you use that site I referenced to you?

From my CB Radio.

vehiclegraphics.net is where I ordered from.

I don't remember if it was you or KMeloney (or both) that turned me on to them.

It's the only place I could find that had the color, width, and tapered ends that I wanted. A little pricey, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Here's the link to the one I ordered. I went with 040-super white.

Looking forward to this, I really want to see how well the width covers the holes up...

Also, after you put it on, if the raised rivets will be visible as a bump in the molding.

The width should be good. Kirk said he went with 7/8" wide and it worked. I decided to do the 1-3/8" so should be ok. I'm going to Dremel the back of the molding where the nuts on the roof are, just like Kirk :)
