put the original 3.4" pulley back on last night...

the car is very sensitive/ touchy at lower gears, especially after the LS7 TB...very sporty feel but gets kinda annoying in a DD...blower was starting to wine pretty noticeably at like 1800 RPMs...will probably put it back on the summer or something...MPG is pretty bad now in the cold...

All of this sounds like your tune might need some tweeking for colder weather. I'm not saying this to insult Blackbear. In fact, I'd use them to do the tweaking.

Could be...truck got pretty touchy with the new 3.2" pulley...started making boost lil earlier than the 3.4'" (makes sense) but i bought it with the intent of getting headers as the smaller pulley will make up for the boost loss the free flowing headers provide...well, i never bought the headers....

I ended up getting a LS 7 tb as i heard it wakes it up pretty good...and it did...so the LS7 + smaller pulley definitely made it snappy and always wanting to go...this thing will light up the wheels at take off if you arent careful and mash on it...i dont mind it at all, but from a DD stand point, its a little annoying in traffic and stop and go...i have to play with the tune till i get it right...

I have been working with Justin at Blackbear for quite some time now ...and he has been more than helpful, just takes a little bit of time to get it dialed in when your going thru email tunes...as far as compensating for a cold weather tune in general, isnt that the point of the closed loop system? to adapt to changing temperatures and conditions, AIC temp changes, fuel and AF ratios etc?

what do i know tho...im not a tuning expert...

The 3.2" pulley i had on before for a bit was taken off along w the LS7 tb since i needed to tune for the driveability a bit...also got a 320LPH pump to install before its tuned...

Cam might come soon or later

As been asked by few, here is how i ended up installing the cooler...

Bought these fittings from summit racing..cheaper than napa. Got these so i can utilize the stock hard GM lines

As you can tell the pass side line, is cut and spun around w a 3/8 compression fitting and moved over a bit to fit the larger profile cooler.
THe plastic front bumper retainer rear has to be trimmed a bit to let the relocated line move over...very easy and self explanatory when your in there...

Over all the temps are very noticeably lower driving around...

Piston slap, wind noise on drivers side window (some people say they have this, I dont), blown speaker on passenger rear door, umm i think thats it.

Im OCD/**** but look for the ones that have the bumper hitch cover. I lost mine during a move and its driving me crazy looking at it naked

The blown speaker on passenger rear door, how common is that? I think I have that?

This thread has been sleeping for a bit, and thanks to Lee, i am required to post here or ill get yelled at! My apologies, and here is the most recent add to the daily...ill post detailed pics of how i retrofitted the stock housings...hope this helps someone and any questions, please let me know...im not an expert, but can definitely try...i have gathered lots of info for a while and finally decided to try it myself...

Below are the parts i got from Theretrofitsource.com, with the exception of the OEM headlight housings of coarse...

Nothing needed other than dremel, screws, stove and simple tools.

Made a little key for the lock nut

Its hard to spin in the back of housing since no room

Only modification to put the Mini D2s in the stock housing was ti make the hole a little bigger...in the front, i decided to use the H4 bulb ring as a center guide instead of the rubber oring, which wouldnt even touch the housing...when i align, this will show how stragith it will be (or not)

TO mate the top mini gatling housing on, i decided to use screws...so i put some nails in as guides, one by one they were hot to give me a small pilot hole. After some dremel work and measurements, here it is:

U can see 4 screws here but i ended up only using 2...the front part of lens is so close to the back of headlight, that it would always touch, so had to shave it down a tad.

Here is some trials of how the turn signal works...this is the dim portion when its just a running light...i have some switch backs that will go here, but these are easy to change out...overall yes, there isn't as much visible light from the side as the stock housing, but its still visible, as well as there is a side marker as well.
