I was looking for the write up thread on how to do the swap but couldn't find it and wasn't sure of all the parts needed, and needed to do radiator while I had the time and weather. Temps starting to drop here in Chicago.

let's call it porting the tranny for better flow.

There are a few that will be soley for fluid return, there are some "chips" in a couple of the passageways. Not sure if they are return or delivery ... I'll grab a few pics when I do it.

Trannys are like Chinese trigonometry to me... I stay away from all that...

They aren't all that bad, this is my second time inside this tranny ... been inside a 350 and 400 before. 400 is simple, 350 even more so ...

Thanks Monstar, one more question for now, what years you recommend for the fan to get an 18in and best year to look out for the relay so when i hit the bone yard in a couple of weeks I can look for and I will go to BMW for the rest. Once I get all the parts I will check back with you because I heard some say old fan is hard, and some say its easy, but once off will I have to put anything over the pully or anything?
