Looking for a vacuum line. A little help would be great. I have an 02 NBS. No ones responding in my forum.

The big hose going to the booster is a vacuum line.

Let us know how this works out for you. I've tried all the fuel system cleaners from Lucas to chevron and had the fuel system treatment at Goodyear. None increased my mileage at all. But I've heard good things about the seafoam. If you could do a short write up, that would be great b/c I'm not exactly sure where its supposed to be applied. I think the brake booster line and fuel tank. Forgot the last one.

I did mine about six months ago put it in the oil to clean the crank case. Booster to clean the intake and gas tank to clean the fuel system she smoked ALOT!! But I think it works change oil about 2 hours later. Truck runs fine if not better

I put a 1/3 pint in the vacuum line. And the rest in a full tank. I'll let ya know.

Seafoam is a solvent...it will clean metal parts over time and allow the unvarnished parts of the metal to be lubricated.

There's a bunch of threads on this topic, iir I posted in some of the good ones...take a min to search my posts on sea foam for more info....I actually fixed a multi cylinder misfire code with sf. I'm a believer now

Seafoam is definitely not snake oil. I had a neighbor that bought a Nissan Altima 4-cylinder that had a CEL for over a year before he decided to fix anything on the car. He knew nothing about cars. We decided to start with a tune up. During the tune up we did seafoam with 1/3 oil, 1/3 gas, and 1/3 brake booster vacuum line. Man did that car smoke. It also helped reveal exhaust leaks. I made him go drive around to give the seafoam in the oil a chance to do its thing before doing an oil change and changing his plugs. When he came back the CEL was gone. We finished the tune up right after. To this day the CEL hasn't come back and the car still runs good. Made me a believer.

how long should it stay in the crankcase for? I know on the can it says just until the oil gets dirty.. are we talking a couple of hours here?

Basiclly if you follow the board land scriptures, it's generally thought good practice on a high mileage engine to gradually do a SF cleaning. I have never heard of any major issues to support that but it seems pragmatic in theory anyway. The supposed reason for using Dino oil during cleanings is that it wont compete for the metallic surfaces as much as a synthetic ....something like that. Again, lots of good threads here so take a minute to search around.

Here's what I did when I bought my Tahoe at 90k miles ...something like this if I recall:

-Dino oil change + 1/3 can SF
-Drove 500 miles

-Dino oil change + 1/2 can SF
-Drove 1000 miles


-Dino oil change + 1 can SF subst for 1/2qt of oil
-Drove 500 miles

-Kerosene flush
-Switched to Royal Purple

I did something similar on the intake, eased into it and probably did it 2 or 3 times....killing the engine each time, letting it sit for a few minutes, then drive for 50 miles or so...repeat. Then change the plugs out bc there's a good chance they're fouled ...so moral is wait for a plug change interval.

If I run seafoam through my intake will I need to change oil ....or is there even a possibility that it will get past the piston rings

shouldnt get past the rings and if it was too then you would have more problems than seafoam could fix.

I did sea foam in mine just recently with 280k on the odometer and it made a big difference in idle, made it purr if you will. now wish it would have magically fixed my random egr code. I cleaned egr and still get the code every other start up.

thats what I was thinking but figured I would ask ppl that know more than I do on the subject.... after cleaning my throttle body last night I got the chance to see all the carbon build up under the plenum...so think ima spray it in through the throttle body rather than the vacuum line

Seafoam is a good product, seafoam in the tank, seafoam in the brake buster vacuum line,seafoam in spray form, inject into throttle body, all have instructions on the can.
I personally have never put it in the oil
