My tahoe had a 2/3 drop and I recently added djm front and rear sway bars which helped the ride dramatically. I just had the djm 4 inch drop spring installed and it rides likes total crap. It's stiff and bouncy in the rear now. I do not have the free travel mod done. My question is those with a 2/4 drop how is the ride in the rear? Will the free travel mod make it ride closer to the 2/3 or just help it marginally? Im debating just pulling the springs and switching them back. Could the sway bar be making it worse?

It will ride bad because you didnt do the free travel mod.

also are you running shock extenders?
are you running stock shocks??

so you know the rear belltech springs sit lower and ride better this is why I don't carry the rear djm tahoe springs anymore.

Beltech = winning. Close feeling to stock. No problems at all

Tony, i dont have stock shocks, running shorter bilsteins. I had them remove the bump stop completely and it did make a noticeable difference. Cutting the bracket completely will give little more clearance. What beltech spring would i need to order, definitely looking for a less harsh ride.

you need to cut the bracket completly off the frame like this shows
http://www.djmsuspension.com/Articles new/FreeTravel.html

once you do that then see how it is and go from there. The djm springs ride horrible with the bilstein shocks. I usually do the belltechs with belltech shocks and ride is very nice.

ALso in the rear are you running shock extenders?

Call me if you want to get faster answers I had 3 trucks to lower today and started at 7 this morning so next one is coming in 20 minutes and ill be here prob for rest of day next to my phone lowering it. 2012 escalade with like 20 miles on her lol

Well, i picked up the tahoe about an hour ago. Here are some pics. The front sits about 34 3/8" and the rear is about 34 1/8". They cut the bumpstop off, but still have not cut the entire bracket. The ride is pretty stiff still, and definitely more bouncy then my 3 inch rear drop. I am most likely going to order the beltech springs from Tony, and try to sell these ones.

Also, i decided to throw the slides on there to change the look up for a bit. I've had these wheels sitting in the garage longer than i have had the tahoe, so i figured i'd give em a try. I know theres a lot of people rollin slides on here, but around town, i haven't seen anyone yet.

Thanks, the front is a 2 inch drop. i used to have a 2/3 and only changed the rear 3 inch to a 4 inch drop hoping to level it out.

Tony, i do not have shock extenders, but have shorter shocks. I will have to get under the car tomorrow to see what shocks i have. I had bilsteins before but had them replaced a few months back but completely forgot what they swapped them out for. I have the rear djm hardware kit as well.

Do you know how low the rear sits with the beltechs. I am running 24's with 305/35/24?

Gotta have shock extenders that low, I'd say. Probably doesn't matter that your shocks are shorter-- you're so low that I'd bet the shorter shocks can't work properly without extenders.
