I don't know anything about it, but I personally wouldn't want to be the guinea pig, I'd switch it back unless I could find concrete info on using it in systems not designed for it. For every great improvement in automotive fluids, it seems there is another gimmick.

G05 is an "extended life" (150k miles) coolant, pretty much like dexcool. You are safe to run it if you want. Pretty much all antifreeze these days are OAT (Dexcool) or HOAT (Zerex G-05) and are all very similiar but are just dyed different colors (yellow, red, blue, etc).

I wouldn't think after that many miles it could be harming anything. 100k? Sounds like it is about time for a coolant flush anyway :)

G05 is used in most newer vehicles, ford, jaguar, chrysler, bmw, and many more. you can use it in just about anything as long as the system is completly flushed of what was in it originaly. I have worked in both a ford dealer and a gm dealer. The G05 ford vehicles compared to the gm Dexcool vehicle always looked the same on the inside. But its all on opinion on what you wanna use, both coolants are equal just depends on who made it. Its like comparing Castrol to Valvoline both great oils, but your gonna use what in your opinion is best.

The previous owner has owned the vehicle for 100k then he sold it to me and he has used the G05 since new and he recently did the water pump and new radiator hoses and replaced the coolant.

Thanks for all the info from everyone
