I believe it's made by Scosche.

Do you have a GMX550 (Lockpick) installed?

I'm looking into adding the BlueFusion onto my already installed GMX550.

Got home on Friday and there was a package in the mail for me. From the time I opened it, watched the install video on Scosche website and had it installed was 15 minutes and the majority of that time was running the mic wire.

The bluetooth works better than my Pioneer P8000BT did in my old tahoe. I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Bluefusion

Hey guys my name is Tony... First post here, and I wanted to share with you my experience so far with Bluefusion. I ordered this part from Crutchfield last week and have had it installed for about 5 days now. It's a great product, install was about 3 minutes, drop the glove box, plug in the T harness, route the microphone, and I was up and running... I would say it operates with a 95% efficiency so far. Although I do seem to be having some very intermittent static only coming through my right side speakers, but I have unplugged it re-plugged it in and it seems to be fine. The greatest feature other than the crystal clear Bluetooth connection, is the ability to stream audio from my iPhone. I was skeptical about what the sound quality would be when streaming, but I can honestly say it's just as clear if I were listening via the 3.5mm stereo jack! I will continue to monitor the slight static issue and keep you guys updated....

Anyone else have this problem after an install? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Btw I have factory nav/with Bose center point system

Thanks!
Tony

You have the bluefusion and the GMX550 lockpick working together? The instructions say an additional harness is needed for a GM radio with a satellite tuner (XM). Is this true if you are going to connect the bluefusion to a lockpick?

I have Bluefusion and GM6 lockpick installed

^Did you only buy part BFGMK or did you also have to buy an additional harness?

-----------------------------------

UPDATE: I just bought the BFGMK kit. I'll assume it can just be hooked up to the lockpick without need for an additional harness.

I bought the kit off of Ebay for $89.99 with free shipping. Advertised as new. Seller has a 99.6% rating. Haven't gotten it yet but in case anyone else wants to risk the purchase, the seller still has two available. Figured it was worth a shot since MSRP is $299.99.

I basically ran the wire from the glove box up the front pillar and then along the headliner to the rear view mirror. I then used the mic attachment that comes with the product and stuck it into the black plastic located at the base of the mirror. I've attached pictures and hope this helps you.

In case others are wondering, the GM specific BlueFusion kit comes with harnesses for head units with or without satellite tuners.

Hey BigRed76,

Did you plug your BlueFusion directly into the XM tuner behind the glove compartment or into the Lockpick?

x2 on this!

I am actually wondering how this works in conjunction with the lock pick as well, and how it was hooked up.

Do you notice any issues with the two working together?

Only had time to do a partial install. I plugged the BlueFusion in per the instructions (into the XM tuner). It is not connected through the GMX550 setup. I was able to do a quick test of the setup and was able to connect my phone to it and dial a number.

Will do a full test this weekend. Also need to finish the install. Right now I need to figure out a location to mount the BlueFusion box. When I stuck it on the XM tuner it obstructs the glove compartment so that it doesn't shut.

I'm also having a hard time running the mic wire through the headliner. Any tricks for this BigRed76? I can pry the headliner down a little but I can't get the wire to stay in there.

Thanks for the update! :Handshake:

I will be looking forward to hearing about your full test. I recently installed a GMX550 in my Tahoe and have been looking at BlueFusion for awhile.

Do you have XM radio in your vehicle? I am wondering how it works in conjunction with that to make and receive calls.

Thanks Again!!
