I live in the Midwest and we had a terrible winter last year. I was not able to take my rims off until late in the season. With that being said there is so much crud accumulated on the stainless steel lip of my rims that I could not get it off with soap, water, and a 000 fine steel wool. Are there any cleaners/chemicals out there I can use to get these cleaned up for the spring?

Meguiars hot rims all rim cleaner works AMAZING! Its in a purple spray bottle and it comes in chrome, aluminum, and all wheel cleaner. It cleans anything metal and I have never used anything better.

I'm pretty sure Minneapolis had a worse winter than you encountered, 86.6 inches of snow to be exact. They use Tons and Tons of salt too. If you rinse them often they should always stay clean.
