I'm finally putting in my rockford fosgate 0-guage wire and redtop optima battery this weekend. I've been wanting to do this for a while now. Ill be so happy whens it's finished so I can leave my system turned up for as long as i need now. Right now I can't leave it on past 24 out of 40. Will post pics when completed.:)

I have 2 15" fosgate t2's in a HUGE box and a 1000 rms fosgate amp. Then I have a set of tweets, and 4 6.5" door speakers hooked up to a kicker 350.4 amp. Right now i have the regular cheap 4-guage wire but thats melted and a 12 farad cap but thats fried too. lol

It's a sure fix because we did this to my brothers suburban and he has 2 15" L7's and a 4000 rms tidus amp and he hasn't had any problems what so ever.

make sure you post pics i need to do this

For sure. the only problem i had was finding the 0-guage. IDK if that is a problem in your area. There is only one shop here that carrys it :-( Had to pay 170 for just the wire. And make sure when you do find wire that its all copper threading not silver and other metals mixed in.

if wire melted and you fried the cap, sounds like you DID need a huge electrical upgrade.

Not to rain on your parade, but id be pretty sure that with a 1000wrms amp on 2 12's your not the loudest in el paso. And when your showing off, do you have your car on or off?

I had the same power kicker for the subs and alpine for my components and I didn't need another battery or alternator. Get rid of the capacitor too, you don't need it.

That's to the point where you should look into another battery and alternator.

That 4000w RMS amp is full of shit. I guarantee you it doesn't put out that much power. If it did, those subs would have been gone a long time ago. The 15" L7's are 1000w rms each.

I understand you got 15's 'dawg', im speakin mroe about only 1k watts. I bet it sounds great, but im still sayin it aint the loudest. I dont want this to get to a pissin match though, good upgrade on teh wire, looks like you needed it. Look into a better charging system before bats, like a ** alt
