Just traded in my '07 Escalade and the great nav and back up camera options for an '07 Z71 Tahoe 4X4....looking to replace those asap on the Tahoe...

Would really appreciate the advice. Not at all good at audio or video and will have a professional install it all. Back up camera is a PLUS. Also will be adding some speakers and a sub in the near future...Thanks everyone - Seel

we've been discussing this on another forum:

I like it. If I didn't have factory sat nav, i'd be all over this thing.

I need the XM feature without a doubt though. Appreciate the posts everyone. Still trying to decide. Will be next week sometime before I do.

Kenwood DNX 9960 Excelon with the back up camera is what you want then. It is just about as good as it gets, also as expensive as it gets too!

Do you know if this NAV unit lets me use bluetooth in the Tahoe?

Hello Everyone,

I got this in a letter regarding the Navitouch system and this is what they said:

This is a great unit but pls note it is not compatible with on star. If you don't have on star you are ready to go.

I hope this help everyone......

The best navigation unit on the market is the Pioneer z120bt. Look no further.

Wow that thing is impressive. Tops my list as of right now. Most likely going to buy tomorrow unless something else comes up. I highly doubt it. Wow...very impressed...Thanks for the recommendation

Crutchfield is saying that it is .3" too deep. Can anyone deny or confirm this?

I have the unit installed. It is that standard double din side. It will fit.

FYI, you can go on ebay and buy this unit for far less than crutchfield wants for it. Also, you can buy a z110bt for less and do a firmware update to make the software the same as a z120bt. The hardware is the exact same. Go on avic411.com for in depth info on this unit.

Appreciate the post but the dimensions in your vehicle will be different than the ones in mine.

What do you drive? The z110bt/z120bt is the standard double din size. If your car fits a double din, it fits the z.

2007 Z71 4x4 Tahoe. I got into an online chat with a crutchfield rep and they said ".3 inches too deep". Does yours fit "flush" with the rest of the dash?

Mine is flush. Any installer who knows what he's doing can easily make this double din fit in your truck. At worst, some plastic pieces behind the dash will have to be trimmed slightly (.3 inches). If this is the case however, you will have this same issue with other double dins as well.

No problem. Get the installer to do the video bypass for this unit / do it yourself. This allows you to change destinations while driving and watch videos while driving. On this unit, all you have to do is relocate a yellow wire to a different pin location.

Also, there is an adapter out there for to retain the use of the steering wheel volume buttons. This is made by PAC. I have it and love it. It sucks to loose that feature when upgrading. You may also want to get a night vision camera for the rear. I got mine for $10 on ebay. Money well spent.

PS if you do install the camera, hide it well so criminals do see it and know you have nav.
