4 Kicker L7X 15's (their new Solo X line) on a Sundown SALT8 (8k rms at 1 ohm at 12v)
i didn't build ANY of it, but the guy who built it done an amazing job (owned a kicker store & done comps for 30 years) to say the least. on termlab, the truck done a 154.8 on music.
So, the beauty of Sundowns SALT line is they do rated power at 12v. The truck (with the electrical setup) has never dropped below 14.8 at full tilt, so it's probably pushing 9k+ to all 4 of them. However, each of these subs will take 10k at 1ohm happily all day long. I was NEVER a kicker fan, always ran DC & FI. However, when I read these were coming out, I pre-ordered 4 of them (should of went with 6 12s and walled it off at the 2nd row seat).
I'm thinking about adding another SALT8 to them sometime here soon. It's loud enough as it is, and I rarely ride with it past 25% on the bass knob, because it's really that loud. You don't just hear it, you feel it. When guys ask me what's in it (random parking lot people) I always tell them just 2 10's, nothing much. They gotta hear/see it from the inside then lol. It runs 'em out of there pretty quick.
SPL wise, they're going to be hard to beat, for sure. It had 4 DC level 5 m5 15's on 2 Taramps 15k's in it before, and on the meter they were round about the same.....but, these L7X's are just monsters. After beating on them every day for over 2 years I've never had any problems whatsoever. Another selling point is the drop-in re-cone's. That within itself made them worth every penny (no more bs hassle of the old ways lol)
oh, the camaro in the back is a turbo'd LS3 with a single 88 that barely gets drove. he moves it around from time to time. that's about it lol
