I’m mad for youi meant the 40 years from now part
but lately its been the lack of being energy efficient that i dislike. end up with heavy shades covering each up on the inside
Are we just not going to talk about the grass that is about to swallow up the small child?speaking of doors and longevity. If I was you, I’d talk to the builder about what style windows they’re installing. I have a new hatred for “new construction flanged” windows. Most common window for new construction duh
This house is 23 years old and due for windows. Not only does the siding need to come off around the windows, but this particular layout, it makes sense to just pull ALL of the siding on some areas of the house. That window above the front door will need a mason afterwards. And all the inside trim/frames need to be removed, ran through a table saw, reinstalled, caulked, and painted.
Had they just built window boxes with capping, you could replace the windows from inside the house with a few pieces of trim each. View attachment 487249
Don’t mind me, just venting. But you might want to consider these options for future window replacement.
Rumor has it, he’s still under there. Are we just not going to talk about the grass that is about to swallow up the small child?

Large casement window or double hung in the master?the people have spoken
what other decisions do you want us to make for you
theres already too much hung in the master from what i hearLarge casement window or double hung in the master?

Currently double hung...Transom windows above are a separate line item and will stay, regardless. I think the double hung is cheaper than casement, but not sure how much.

I don’t have an opinion on which is a better product. The window company we use sells you the same exact window with or without the flange. It’s on the installer to insulate and seal it properly. When we replaced the windows in my current house, they stripped the vinyl and reinstalled "new construction" windows, which I liked. I felt we got a better product than a traditional "replacement" window. I could be wrong through.
Yeah on that non poverty height door lol.4 lite looks....awkward

i bet she didI think Steph liked the 6
Giving me too much credit.i bet she did
double what shes used to
If you’re referring to 6080 as in 5ftx80in.Gay
Honestly though, the grid on the 4 lite matches the grid on the windows. Thats the reason for my choice. I think Steph liked the 6, I can't remember.
Not sure about the height on either door, ours will be 6080 door.
6080 - 6' x 8'. Door measurements are stupidIf you’re referring to 6080 as in 5ftx80in.
That’s what this door is.

The 4 light proportion looks different than what you posted. I feel like you posted a 90”+ door
That’s actually the proper way… that’s a big ass door. I underestimated your knowledge thinking you did it in inches.6080 - 6' x 8'. Door measurements are stupid
