Not sure if this applies to all 2007-2014 Tahoes, but I just figured out how the dome light override feature works in the 2012 PPV. I did a video on it (link below) for anyone who was like me and did not know this. It’s sort of hidden in plain sight if you ask me. I feel kinda dumb that I rode around for about a month without the dome lights working and didn’t figure it out on my own. DOH!!!!

I recommend that you adjust your tread title to something like, "How to Override Your Dome Light Setting", so that viewers will see your thread as an instructional/informational thread, and not an issue thread looking for a solution.

Not everyone reads things around here...me included. Took me a while to find it...just used the round dome light with the red or white leds the upfitter installed until then.:Good or Bad:
people in general do not, not just around here....
It boggles my mind. Even though I am admittedly part idiot, I get caught off guard sometimes

I didn’t really think the section at the top of the control was intended to be pressed. I thought it was a label that corresponded to the dial/knob. Not the actual plastic piece above the knob. That’s where I was confused. But had I opened up the manual I could have solved my confusion.

when you get the next gen they really throw you for a loop and move the control to the roof console
along with a led light (like a booklight) that never goes out while the key is on. the fix is to unplug it.

What? I love my little night light. Puts just the right amount of light straight down to find things with out having to turn on a map light.

unplugged that thing years ago, same on the wife's rig
can't sleep with the lights on :driver:

it might be worth noting I grew with a blind man, learned a few things.
my kids can't seem to do anything without the lights on, you don't need the lights on....
