2nd dealer got it.

Best thing that happened to me is that I installed 654.60 update over the air in the car.

654.60 broke text messaging, forced boot looped phone disconnects, delayed boot up times for infotainment and several other issues.

Dealership said there was new update that updated to Android 14 that address all the things I said and more. Asked to please installed the surround vision update while in there. He look it up and found the update that referenced surround vision/turn signal activated cameras. Installed that as well.

I now have Android 14 and SVR. And everything works perfectly.
So you also have turn signal activated cameras? Does your vehicle have any of the max tow packages?

Trying to figure out if the turn activated cameras are going to be an OTA update for all vehicles or only ones with certain packages

Surround Vision Recorder for 2025.

So I know many people have asked for the information which wasn't clear on many post. If your 2025 vehicle has the Surround Vision HD package you qualify for the Surround Vision Recorder update.

The actual update in the GM computer is
W53E-180.4.2-UQBM-286.4, which is listed on service bulletin 25-NA-371. I know there are many posts on this that say to have them update you to 86326592.mdf, but the dealer can't look up this number. It's by the software build version...the W53E number. I listed pictures of all my screen on my 25 AT4U.

You may have to tell your dealer that there are issues with the infotainment to get it covered under warranty.

For me, it was easy...I took the most recent OTA update 654.60 in the Yukon, and it broke my text messaging, my screen boot time, and put my Bluetooth into a disconnect/reconnect boot loop. Tell your dealer you have connection issues with your system.

This update brings your infotainment to Android 14 and has the SVR app pre-installed. No other update needed.

Android 14 is clean, smooth and every single issue is corrected for all the other OTA updates.

As you can see from the service ticket. This is NOT an OTA or GM computer update. The tech must download the software from SPS on a USB and transfer it to your car. The whole process takes about 6 hours. Hope this helps.

So, do you now have the turn signal camera feature because of the update or did you have that feature already before the update?
Thanks

Well, we will see how it goes with my 25 Yukon Elevation, just dropped it off at the dealer with a copy of your work order for them to update it to Android 14 as I currently have Android 12.

I was running a 1T Harddrive on a 2026 Tahoe To capture all the dashcams for about 3 week. I notice in my screen in the truck I can only review maybe the past day or 2 at most of video.

I hooked the hard drive into my laptop and see that there is only maybe 30gigs of video; it’s not filling up the 1TB?

Anyone else has this “issue” or is it normal?

Can you guys review weeks of video on your truck screen and on your Hard drive??

I also am not sure if the drive was a usb 3.0 device (could be 2.0) so I ordered a 3.0 drive today(256gb). Maybe that will help.

This is what the truck says about the drive:

Im
Thinking the truck only captures 32g of video and then writes over it….. but again not sure.

Im pretty sure the system is smart enough to record whatever the drive has room for. Mine has more then 32GB of video stored.

I guess mine isn’t. Mine starts recoding over video after 32g.

Let us know if you can get over 100g.

Well, I have answered my own question...if your vehicle does not have the RPO - TRG then you will never have the camera activated turn signals! Take a picture of the QR code on the bottom of the drivers door B pillar with a QR code reader on you phone and copy it and paste into notes or something similar and you see all the RPO codes the vehicle was built with. Unfortunately my Yukon does not have the TRG code so no camera activated turn signals!

I have a 256GB drive plugged in, but you might be correct, I'm going to confirm today.

Is that part of the Trailer camera package?

One thing I forgot to mention is the garage door openers work great now, so far only one tap of the button and they work unlike before it was hit or miss and usually two or three taps to get them to work.

I also have the Max Trailering Package but I don’t have the turn signal camera functioning without the trailer being attached since I haven’t towed anything with it yet.

MAX TRAILERING PACKAGE
  • SMART TRAILER INTEGRATION INDICATOR
  • HITCH VIEW
  • BLIND ZONE STEERING ASSIST WITH TRAILERING
  • ENHANCED COOLING RADIATOR
  • TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER

This feature, while included in the update, is only active is you paid for the Enhanced Towing Package.

For me personally it does not matter as I installed a OEM style dash cam long ago which works perfect.
I am same as you I have the FitCamX but keep in mind that the OE Surround Vison Recordings are 360 degrees around the vehicle and our dashcams are front and rear only. So for impacts on the side the dashcam is useless.
