Dorman 265582 Rock Auto Transmission Pan?

Does any one here have any experience with the Dorman transmission pans with the drain plug? Looks like a good deal at $80 with filter and gasket. Just no experience with this brand, was wondering if this sounded like a good plan. Thanks in advance.

Looks good and likely is a great deal, BUT, remove the drain plug and inspect the seal/gasket. Can you get replace seals/gaskets?

I took the plug out but i don't remember if there was a gasket or not. Anyway, it ain't leaking so all good.

Appreciate that. I am going to go for it. Looks like I would see most blatant issues pretty early. Will report back on the quality.

IMO, do it, replace with the new part, BUT, before you do, remove the drain plug and look at the seal and see if a replacement is available. Hell, get ahold of Dorman for that. Or just take your chances. No skin off my nose. You asked a question. I am just giving an answer.

I just put one on my 2016 Tahoe I bought used with 88K on it. Fit well and no leaks in 3K miles.

Here's the drain plug and gasket, specific to that pan. Not sure if it's even available, or if just the gasket would be available separately. I'd size the gasket (seems to be an o-ring) before installing and find a match at, say, NAPA, for a spare. And keep the number for the spare.

I dont see that on RockAuto. Just an OEM pan and a Dorman pan neither with drain plug...

nvrmind.. i was looking at 6.2L engine....
