From what I've seen on here, it's literally just a Pass/Fail. There is no score or range or anything like that. Based on the video that was posted showing the inspection procedure and result, it looks like the technician sees a screen that just says "Pass", so I'm not sure they are even provided the details (or trained) to give you more info than that.Has anyone been able to see their pico results? I'm interested to see what passing criteria is compared to my results. Passing with flying colors or just made the hurdle? Not sure if it works that way....
I'm sticking with the 6.2 for my 2026 Yukon order. Have certainly taken bigger bets than this in my life. 800,000 engines, maybe 20,000 affected. Even if those numbers are incorrect by GM I'll take the odds for the driving experience. New engines for 2027, in 2029 I'll take another look.then you will never get pleasure from a modern car
I haven't seen a lot of reports of new failures lately, so that makes me wonder if the majority of engines that are going to fail have already done so. I have no actual facts to support that conclusion though.....I'm sticking with the 6.2 for my 2026 Yukon order. Everybody passes the test. Gm had to show it’s doing something. Shame on highway safety board for approving the pico test as a remedy.
It’s going to be interesting when some of the “passed recall pico tests” fail in the real world.
: ) That is what my Family says. I'm stuck - 99 BMW e39 Touring, 00 BMW e38, 01 BMW e46, 02 Yukon XL, 05 Mini R53, 05 Toyota Matrix. I'm 60. I'm not good at change.then you will never get pleasure from a modern car
I’m referring to the poll I’ve taken here. I’ve asked the question several times on this forum. Not one first hand account of an engine replacement because of a failed pico test. Lots of dealer said this and that. No it’s not scientific but I have not heard of one yet. We have allot of passes here so far. If somebody is getting a new motor for a failed test please speak up.What proof is there that "Everybody passes the test;" that's about as truthful as "Nobody passes the test." Seen any numbers either way?
Where can we find specific information about what procedure the NHTSA uses to "approve" a proposed remedy? Do they even do that?
I would assume the "0.90" refers to the estimated labor time for the inspection procedure (labor operation 9107931) as per the below document:This is what they gave me after I passed mine...

Not sure what the "0.90" means at the end of the "Recall #N252494000 9107931 0.90" line or what the "... all ok nwo" means on the next line.
My guess - it's simply a pass/fail and doesn't have significant meaning other than all or nothing.

Of course it’s approved. Gm had to come up with something to satisfy NHTSA.
