Hi all, first post. Second Tahoe. Had a 95 for 16 years and 300k. Loved it. Just sold my 86 Silverado and bought this beautiful 13 LT

Almost perfect and just 111k. Super clean and I am very excited. Gonna grab one of those $40 AFM OBD things off of Amazon to keep it from going to 4 cylinders unless someone here has a great reason not to. It really runs nice and I would like to keep it that way. Lol

Disabling Engine Half@$$ is step 1; if you can do it for $40, congrats.
If you'd like it to run really nice for a very long time, best way to extend the 6L80E's life is to have the tcm tuned to minimize torque converter clutch slip.
A bit more than $40, sure, but even a tcm tune without the ecm will make youo so much happier as a driver.
Just tell the tuner how you want it to drive, and he'll make you wonder why GM was holding back all these years.
