So after all the brake work, the pedal is still way too soft. I think even after all the bleeding I did I still have air trapped somewhere. I ordered a VXDIAG VCX Nano and a pressure bleeder and I'm going to do the proper bleeding procedure hopefully once and for all when everything arrives.

In other news, I also recently installed slightly upgraded door mirrors. No auto fold, but they do have turn signals and puddle lights which I didn't have before. I did some poking around and I saw the wires for both are physically in the connector on the door switch, but neither get power when dome or turn are switched on. Before I start splicing wires, I'm hoping there's a setting I can turn on with Tech2win once the VCX Nano comes in, but I'm never that lucky so we'll see lol.

I saw that others have run separate wires through the door panel, but when/if I do have to splice, I don't see why I can't use the wires that are already in the harness but not being used. Anyone mess around with that before?

The turn signals and puddle lights in the door mirrors.
My truck didn't come with them and they're not a plug and play item for me it seems.

Use a test light.
I would almost bet the wiring is there at the plug.
Someplace around here i have posted pictures on how to get the puddle lights working.
Different years though so maybe not.

Which connectors are in your photos? This is what my driver side switch panel looks like. I do not have the DL3 or DR4 RPO codes for the record.

Finally got the VCX Nano up and running. Going to do the proper brake bleeding procedure soon. What an awesome tool.
Did a bit of messing with the mirrors as well. Turns out I was able to test the puddle lights and actually activate them with the Tech2 software without touching any wiring. Interesting indeed. I didnt see any options to test the turn signals though. I'll have to do more digging.

Still haven't done much with the brakes but I did pick up a master cylinder. Unfortunately by the time I was ready to tackle this, I lost A/C in my other car and I ain't dealing with all that right now.

I did however get some new to me wheels and its got me wanting to go an entirely different direction with the truck now.

Call it sacrilege, but the wheels are from a 2020+ Ram Big Horn Night Edition. 20x9 ET 19. Tires are 275/55/20 so same size as the oem 20s for this gen. I gotta say, I love em. Big 5 spoke guy. Fronts fit perfect, rears can use maybe a 1 inch spacer for my liking, but I'm going to just enjoy not bothering with spacers for a while.

When considering spacers, keep in mind that the wheel track width is slightly smaller in the rear, than in the front. This is by design for the truck's handling and tracking specifications. I went through this myself, as I 'liked' that front tire 'look', and I wanted to move out the rear wheels, for the same 'look'. That is when I learned about this design specification, and as such, I removed my rear spacers.
