I am going to recover the front seat bottom I see leather covers are available from at least 2 different companies. The heated seat does not work. I think the lower element is bad. Is 12475772 the correct part for the bottom element? I know its disconnected. Is there an aftermarket option?

If you want high quality OE-style covers try The Seat Shop https://www.theseatshop.com/. They also have new Durofoam cushions, but I don't know about seat heater availability. They're not exactly cheap, and there are other alternatives elsewhere, but they are great quality and their videos are very helpful.

First jobs are a new radiator

Welcome to the forum!

Heads up on radiators. Some aftermarket radiators include an unused port under the cap that GM did not use on 96-99 trucks:

I think the port was used on some of the earlier (88-94?) trucks. As the radiator is meant to be “universal” and fit those trucks, many companies put a rubber cap and hose clamp over it. Often, these are low quality vacuum style caps that degrade in a few months and leak or fall apart.

Here’s one:

While you can replace the caps with a silicone cap that is more resistant to heat, the better option is to find one that either doesn’t have the port at all (GM still sells them)…

…or has a threaded plug instead
