It was mainly the one shot against the side of the house that makes it look like they are too high. You can't tell from pics of the front because they are so bright cameras have a hard time taking accurate pictures. But, at least with mine, I get flashed unless I have them just below a standard door-knob height. Hard to tell if you're on level ground, too...if you're tilting up even just a little bit, it'll throw things off.
But yeah, don't worry about it unless you get flashed a lot. Like I said, it looks sick!
FWIW: I have 55w in my fogs and have had no issues in six months. But, it's also been cold out. That could change with the warmer temps if I run them much. Luckily, it's light all the time here in the summer, so I probably will barely use them until August/Sept.
