Yea I prob should talk huh. Atleast yours looks amazing and works lol
Thx and yes it does. Just the little things to keep on top of. Buuuutt, I rarely get to drive it, so it has to work for the wife's DD. She's pretty good about letting me know if something is odd thankfully.

It's pretty darn good for 10 years old and 71k. I'd lower it. :happy175:

All you swapped was the front coilovers right? Sneak some spindles and drop springs on it
Here is what has been done to the suspension.

Suspension Modifications
  • Sway bars
    • Cognito 210-90265 (front) and 210-90266 (rear)
  • Spohn panhard bar
  • Belltech coilovers Part no. 5403-001 621 (page 112)
  • McGaughy’s rear springs (Part no. 0307) with shock extenders Kit 30014 (page 112)
  • wired in the resistors to keep the rear auto ride 100% functional.
  • Moog sway bar end links Part Number K700538 (page 112)

Finally got my son to break out the hose and wash the long body and dry it by himself. He did a great job.

I did the detailing, then showed him how to check the fluids.

He’s interested but not passionate….lol yet….

74700 miles

Took the truck in for an oil change (Mobile 1 synthetic) and sent out the sample to Blackstone for analysis.

The shop cleaned out the throttle body while it was there and said it was pretty dirty. Been traveling with work so not as much time to do those little things and when your friend is the owner of the shop, they do those little things while it is in there.

Fast forward 24 hours. Wife comes home with the kids and the DIC is showing low tire pressure and they saw something sticking out of the tire. WTF!!

2 spots. Looked like a nail in the middle of the tread and a broken off screw slowly dropping the pressure. Luckily the same tire.

Rather than have to deal with a flat tire in the morning, I backed the truck down over the sidewalk, so it was off the decline and lifted her up (of course a few people had to walk around with their dogs hahahaha). A big no-no in the neighborhood to block the sidewalk. Took longer to get it set up than to change out the spare.

Sent my buddy a message that my wife would be there for doors open at 0730 as I had to go to the airport at 1100. Wife got there at 0715 and there were already 5-6 people waiting in line to get service. The Suburban was home in 1 hour. Thanks man!

Found a screw in one of my tires last week when I had them rotated last minute before my Utah trip. He didn’t have a patch and it wasn’t leaking so i ran it up to Utah, took it into the tire center next morning and they couldn’t find a screw or a leak. Lol. Always nice when it’s an easy tire fix.

Lolol...that rattle you are hearing is THAT screw loose...err in the wheel going round and round as you blast up and down that mountain. Yeah I wasn't taking a chance with that sharp end sticking out. But of course or lucky ....not sure... it happened on the new rear tires and not the fronts which are down to their final 5k miles and needing a new set to match the rears.

That is a great question... that the wife did not ask before she drove it home....and thus far I have not had a call about it going flat again?

Did some detail work to the long body. Polished and sealed the paint and chrome. Cleaned the engine bay. Hit the seats twice because whoa...been a long time. They are looking much betterer.

Still thinking about a change in wheels in the near future, but stuck on which GM 22s to go with...:emotions34::boti:

Also got the Blackstone oil analysis back and pretty happy with that report.

Thx.

Chrome 22s.

Probably something NNBS time frame.

Anything kxxx years and newer is very common around here.

CK357
CK916
Stay with LTZ just 22s
TBSS
Texas Edition

That’s what I’m thinking. Unless I am missing a model.

77,400 miles.

Been busy with work and not much time other than trying to keep the long body clean in between the almost daily thunderstorms.

And running my daughter to lacrosse practice twice per week about 26 miles round trip and 3 tournament weekends in May/June.

Back and forth to Wellington x 2 days per week (128 miles), back and forth to Delray Beach x 2 days (36 miles) and 1 back and forth to Apopka (overnight stay 382 miles). Plus the wife is always out and about.

1. Installed some Bosch Icon wipers after a solid coating of Rain X to help with the
non-stop rains.

2. Fixed the passenger interior door grab handle.

3. Had 2 new front tires mounted. Thx @randeez and @BADRIDES for the wheel offers. Got busy, circled back around then all this happened. Thought I was in @randeez garage for a moment with so many broken parts lol. So had to go with maintenance over mods. Boooo!!

While the truck was on the lift for the tires, I asked my buddy to give her a once over due to all the upcoming road trips. My wife had noticed a clunk happening in reverse and I noticed another clunk when accelerating from a dead stop.

I figured it was motor mount time and/or a suspension issue. Ding ding ding...
And this is where stuff started to break....ugghhh...and all at once.

Buddy calls me and says >>

4. Both motor mounts are toast.
GM part number 15854941.

5. Both lower ball joints are toast.
Moog part number K6541.

6. Might as well do a new transmission mount while they are in there.
GM part number 15813693

He ordered the parts and I was able to get it back into the shop the following Thursday.

And then the hat trick comes out.

While the truck is on the lift, his tech noticed a slight drip of coolant on/under the radiator. Upon further investigation, he found a tiny hole in the radiator. WTF!!

6. Radiator.
I don't have a part number, but it was local and in stock.

My buddy was able to source the radiator the same day, so I left the truck at his shop for the night to be completed on Friday morning. Turns out a GMC was in the shop and had same radiator leak, just a different location.

The hoses and connectors all looked good, so we decided to leave those alone for now.
He threw it back up for an alignment and called it a day on Friday at noon. What an ugly looking invoice!

Truck drove nice to Delray Beach and held temperature at 210F without any clunks.

So back in business.
