Just joined the forum the other day. I've had a 2007 Silverado LT and finally had to trade that and my work car in for a vehicle that's better for our family. Decided to Join the tahoe family. Anyways, Glad to move from the silveradosierra forum to the Tahoe Yukon.

I have a 2020 Tahoe LT. I'm not happy that there are no tow hooks and the air deflector scraping the ground every time I pull in my driveway. I've already researched adding tow hooks with the different fascia piece that has the holes for them.

I'm still deciding whether to trim the air deflector or spend the money and get the PPV deflector. Now to further complicate things I started researching if the z71 front skid plate could go on my setup and if so which route would I need to go with the lower air deflector. Skid plate isn't too important to me and I'd like to make a move on the tow hooks and lower air deflector soon before hunting season is here. Does anyone know if the z71 skid plate works with the LT bumper? if not, then I'll stick to tow hooks and air deflector and be done. Thanks for the help.
bumper has nothing to do with any skid plates, the difference is the lower valance "IF" you wanted to go with the midnight edition then you could use it with the very optional skid plate that would fit with that valance otherwise your regular valance will work with the regular skid plates as they are tucked completely under.
you could take the very bottom piece off of your valance and gain and inch or 2 clearance or just cut it as needed.
as far as midnight edition I am thinking silverado and the bumpers for the silverado may be different, either way the regular skid plates just bolt on all k2's.

Thanks for the explanation Doubeleive. Sounds like its separate and if I wanted to add it I could do it later. Please forgive me but explain what K2 is. This is my first Tahoe. I've had nothing but trucks so wasn't sure what K2 means.

it's just a term for the gm platform 00-06 is gmt800, 07-14 is gmt900, 15-20 is k2xx, 21+ is T2xx
those year break downs are each on there own platform for the most part same frame design, software, etc with some minor differences depending on when they made small changes and it breaks down a bit more to 3-4 engine codes per platform and transmission codes.
for what you are looking for these would work this guy sells them all the time, you would just need to get the self taping bolts, regular bolts will not fit right, when installing do not over tighten the bolts at all they will strip easy then you have to go with a larger bolt

And are these the only two pieces that are part of the skid plate package? one for the front and one for the rear?

I got under my Tahoe yesterday because I'm about to add tow hooks and the fascia with the cutouts for tow hooks. I don't have skid plates but I have a plastic or rubber splash guard. do the skid plates replace these and bolt up the same? if so I may get these off eBay and swap them out. I apologize if this has been answered earlier in this thread but I haven't had time to go back and re read it all. Thanks for the help

replaces the plastic one, bolt holes are the same you will need a couple more bolts though because the metal skid is a 2 piece and requires I think 2 more bolts.
I presume the plastic one you are talking about looks like this?

Yep thats what I have under there now. Is there a part number for the hardware? I looked at the Ebay seller you posted and considering buying them. I can message him as well to see if these come with hardware.

the one I linked on ebay will fit and work, he doesn't provide any additional bolts. the bolts you need can be found under any gm suv at the junkyard they have used the same bolts for the last 20+ years they are self taping when you start the bolt it will make a thread in the hole. dealer parts department will have them but they are $7 or 9 each, maybe more I just grabbed a couple off the ground at the junkyard, don't over tighten them because then you have to start over with a larger bolt they strip the metal on the truck fairly easy
