Fuel Tank Skid Plate?

Does anyone know where a skid plate for the fuel tank can be found? I have tried combing the Web and have not found anything yet for the 07-14, or anything that might work with a little modification.
Kinda scares me to have that plastic tank unprotected when going through rocky areas.

That's unfortunate. May have to talk with a fab shop for something custom, which will likely be more $$$

Tray style plates look like they would trap a ton of dirt.. Maybe something similar to this...

I've had no luck finding anything as well. It's surprising that Asmir doesn't offer anything considering their offerings for the rest of the underbody.
Another arts and crafts project. Aluminum.

In the first picture, is that your truck with the aluminum shaft? If so, how is that working for you?

I'm thinking of bolting to the bottom of the frame rail and some uprights to the bottom of the body on the other side of the tank.
It should be tempered aluminum for strength. 3/8th's?

Not my trucks, was just looking for skidplate ideas.

Not sure about that lift accident either, but I was looking for a good underbody shot, someone has taken some here but I can't find it.

That would probably work. 1/4" is what I was thinking but 3/8"s would be better. Either way, the aluminium cost will punch the wallett!

Just did a little looking, 500 give or take for a 4' by 4' sheet. Might be enough left over for the muffler area.Need to sheild my water tank as well.

Trail'd. 14 gals. Safe to drink from.
A bit expensive, as everything related to offloading is.
Mounted a pump under there as well.
Open road shower and water heater.
