In between coats of paint sealer, I thought I’d give a LONG LONG TERM update in my application of the cerakote on the black trim. I applied it in like March of 2021 or something. I can’t believe how well it has held up. NO reapplication or ANY other products applied since, just washes of the truck etc. it still is deep black and looks great. Simply unbelievable. If you still haven’t tried this, stop wasting your time on anything else haha

Edit: Truck sits outside in the FLORIDA sun and rain all the time
Thx for reminder on this stuff. Going to have to pick some up.

Holy s.hit..! The return of HiHoeSilver..!!! Welcome back brother..!
Hey Sam!

Was out by you a few weeks ago visiting an old buddy that's up in Nederland. Took my daughter through 8 states and 2500 miles in the 2006 leather recliner and was racing from the Black Hills down to a show at Red Rocks. If I'd have thought of it, I'd have come asked you for dinner! You still working that grill?

Ha..! Sounds like a great trip..! Actually, I’ve had quite a bit going on… I divorced in March, relocated in June/July. Annnd.. got a couple things done to the Yukon. She’s embarrassingly dirty right now though. And I still haven’t setup my PC at home, so the final tune is not yet installed. I’m a bad owner. :okay2:
New location is Tyler, Tx.

I just got my kit from AutoLeatherDye.com so I can hopefully fix my middle rows. They’re in bad shape, cracked etc. They matched up both colors of my seats , Medium Pewter II and Very Dark Pewter that my RPO list calls for. This won’t happen for awhile since I have a big house project going on.

Have you ever searched LKQ for a 2nd row seat? They'd be in much better shape then front seats. Probably lots floating around that's never even been sat in.

Right in front of State Capitol Raceway- the drag strip that's about 5 miles from my house. I'm not taking it as any sort of sign cuz I'm not superstitious. But, I can be a little stitious at times, though.

BTW, it's good to see you around again.

Always on a Friday...
Seems my 04 Z71 went completely dead after pulling into a parking spot and shut the ignition off.
I went to restart to reposition in the parking space and absolutely NOTHING!
I knew at that point the positive battery cable worked loose.
Wiggled it and sure enough... Loose.

That MacGyver jury-rig solution with bits of toothpick in the threaded hole on a stripped-out top-post to side-post adapter battery clamp was not going to hold any more.
Lasted a couple of months!

Drove to NAPA to pick up an order made the day before. Man, it sputtered and felt weird. They didn't have the adapter clamp.

Anyway, made it to Advance Auto for a new adapter clamp and tightened that one without stripping the threads. Nice tight connection. Good to go!
Amazing what full and continuous current from the battery can do for making things run good...

Good citizen! Too bad there aren't more drivers that obey road signs.
