So I have 09 XFE Yukon. It is dropped and inch or so like the PPVs are from the factory for “fuel economy” and stability. What is the proper correct length replacement strut for your PPVs?

Post the last 8 digits of your VIN, and @915_Tahoe may be able to give you the exact replacement part numbers.
Ohh ok great, thanks for the info. The shop says they got the right ones now. Hopefully they’re right, if not I’ll reach out to him for sure.

Thank you! Rear discontinued... I’m assuming I can find an aftermarket with the same length by searching that part number? Sorry for all the question, I’m new to older trucks.

You should find something the same by referencing that gm#

Any shock/strut from a civilian tahoe/Yukon (non-auto ride) is the same as a PPV. The PPVs come with a Monroe PPV specialty shock/strut. They are extremely firm.

The PPVs get their ride height from lowered springs. I would go with the Belltech ProStreet for front and rear. The fronts allow you to drop up to 1” if needed. Rear springs on a PPV ride on a 2” drop spring, but they ride horrible. Any 2” lower spring gives the same PPV height but with better ride comfort.

Hey 915, I replaced them rear shocks and the ass end is still “squatted” a bit. Now I’m thinking it’s the rear springs. Can you provide me the part # for my xfe 9R218071? Please and thank you!
