I like the black housing too. White is a bit much. I like the high LED instead. Can’t use HID for high because of the warm up time. That’s why the shutter is the high beam option for HID.

Very excited for you and can’t wait to see the finished product. I just bookmarked their site for possible future work.
I run all 4 HID’s ( bixenon) on low and for highs the shutters open so there’s 4 projectors on high too. It just depends on how you wire them.

I never even considered the warm up time! Glad I’m going with LED. Although if I went with quad HID, all four would serve as both high/low beams like Rocket Man’s lights.

I’ve been talking to him for awhile. He knows his stuff and he’s done a bunch of these so I have high hopes. I’m having him install lenses etched with his logo, so that might be an incentive to make them extra nice lol

Mine are some bright a** projectors for sure with quad bixenons especially when I hit the brights and all 4 shutters open.

I don’t like white painted housings either, they just don’t look right to me. Sounds like you have a good plan. Looking forward to seeing them. :happy107:

I was really considering quad bixenons since my windshield is dark, but I’m sure the Morimoto stuff all aimed properly will be a huge improvement over what I have now

I was headed home from the dr’s office yesterday and while i was on the phone with my sister my service stabilitrack message popped up along with my service engine light. Was able to get home, hooked up the tech 2 and got this. Cleared the code, went for a long drive to see if it would happen again. Hopefully it was just a 1 off thing

that sucks, the TCM is inside and is part of the valve body I think the valve body can be changed by dropping the pan and then it's a few more bolts I watched a video of a guy doing it made it look pretty easy. But it could have been a different part maybe it was the techm
one thing to check is the wiring harness, there is a bulletin for the wires coming loose from the harness connector and causing a variety of problems including your p0700
this is it right here

What’s the code after the tcm? There has to be more than one.

Broke my rear sway bar endlinks on passenger side on some rr tracks. They are either belltech or djm because I'm lowered...with my recent adventures with the belltech front coilovers I am hesitant to buy BT...

I think I'll research and look into maybe replacing the whole shebang back there...otherwise just the cheap/easy and just a new set of links

Read my post in your other thread. You probably have interference issues.

Looking at buying one of those Motive pressure brake bleeder kits. I believe 0108 model would probably fit our rigs, but is there a more universal model that anyone's used and can recommend? I'd also like to use it on the mustangs and the street rod, but I may just have to buy the separate cap adapters for those, or make my own from a replacement cap.

That’s the one I bought, 0108. For other vehicles they either make vehicle specific caps or they sell a universal one. I’ve only used the GM one. I love my Motive, I’ll never do it any other way after using one. They make bleeding and flushes so easy it’s ridiculous. :)

Got notified yesterday afternoon that instead of my diff getting delivered, they won't arrive until Monday... Ruining my weekend plans of fixing the TaHoe... So I guess I'll be replacing the head gasket on my LUV since that let go two days after I broke the diff on the TaHoe during my commute.

Can't catch a break, glad pops always has a few "spare" vehicles.

Typically this Time of year, I'd be out in the desert for the long weekend.
