side note, any one see engine masters last week? they did a fuel challenge. 87, 91 116 and e85. on a pretty built engine.

87 and 91 octane made the same power, liked the same timing. 116 likes the same timing and made a few hp more. same for e85.

so fuel dont matter really they have shown. on a na set up any ways.

What was the compression ratio it all depends on that with high octane gas.You wont see any difference with 9-1 or even 10-1 ratio getting higher than 11-1 and you will def see gains.

i forget the comp ratio, but it was making right around 500 hp on 87 and 91. the corn and 116 was only 10-15 hp better. the dyno overlay of the runs showed the same curves, just 10 hp higher. so for the cost of race fuel and the cost of up grading fueling for e85 for just 10-15 hp just dont seen to be worth it.

What's up with your rear sway bar?
I went with Tony's 2/3 drop with end links and shocks. I have a popping sound that I can't track down. Like backing out of my drive way with rolled curbs or going around a corner in a neighborhood. Everything seems to be solid. Spare tire is secure. I've done the free travel mod. I have also had to get better grade bolts, nuts and washer due to the bushing clamp breaking.

You sure the end links aren’t causing it? My passenger side rear DJM end link had a broken weld that was causing a sound like that, only when going in or out of a driveway.

Hand washed the truck today and applied a ceramic trim treatment to my rear bumper and step rails. Hoping it lasts a while because the truck looks great.

Edited to add the link to the product I used:

I understand the cost but if your compression is higher than 11.1 and you dont use high octane or e85 your motor is toast. My motor is 744 horsepower and 693 ft lb torque motor only and 11.5 and i run 110 and 93 mixed most of the time.If im running the nitrous i dont dare run 93 only or say bye bye.Between 93 and 110 the difference on the dyno was 21 hp and 26 ft lb tq.Had to throw a pic or 2 in

Alignment shop round 2...
They had it pulling to the right big time, my backyard alignment drove perfectly.

Got a big brake fluid leak too. So it's back to the parts store I guess.

Today I replaced both wiper arms (Napa) and both blades (trico force 22’s) & gave a quick hand wash. The $17 wiper arm puller tool was well worth getting the passenger side didn’t wanna play nice at all!

Picked up a Suburban. Ended doing the rear brakes and valve cover gaskets. Installing a Esky steering wheel later this afternoon. Needs a good interior/exterior cleaning.

Hit the junkyard today to pull a rear bumper for my Dakota ( gotta spread the love around all 3 vehicles ) and had to walk down the GM aisle to get there. Was minding my own business when I spied a Yukon Denali. Thought I would luck out on a cluster with trans temp but some dip-stick wanted only the gauge needles. He didn't have a 7mm socket, so he pried off the clear cover plate. Stupid idiot! I did still grab the actual integrated circuit. The grille was still there, so I thought that surely the tabs would be broken off. But no ! But crap ! I had no 10mm nor a phillips. Since my 3rd vehicle is a Passat, I knew that the tool pouches had a 10mm wrench and a phillips, so up the hill I went to get them.
Mission accomplished !

Having & fixing 3 different vehicles has it's advantages.
