Nice. I have the Wilkes Performance heads on my avalanche. @Dantheman1540 just got a set of 243s done by them as well. So far, so good.

Good luck with the build!
Thank you. And to think all started with a bad lifter. Haha that's good news the head definitely looked good to me visual and flow numbers.

Well all said and done I will only be into the kit for just under $1500; the Wilwood kit for the 16" rotors was going to be about $2500

Calipers with hardware kit - $950
Rotors - $220
Adapters - $195
Pads - $50
Banjo bolts/washers - $10
Did you end up getting braided lines for your brakes or are you going to wait on the lines for now?

Well I cooled off and took'er for a rip.

It's 90+* right now and ripped off a 14sec 1/4 mile......spinning through first. Trans tune still needs some serious work. With this build, converter and gears I should be ripping off a 4.8-5.0 sec 0-60. Its falling on its face til I hit 4500 rpm from a dig or even when I bring it up to 2800 rpm on the converter
So how accurate is whatever device you're using as a performance meter? Have you ran it at a track with this meter at the same time to compare accuracy?

I used to have a GtechPro, the first model that looked like a radar detector, back in the mid-late 90s (before smartphones and gps), and it was pretty accurate as long as you had the correct vehicle weight entered. It was about 3 tenths and 5 mph off in the 1/4 pretty constantly.

Still curious about what equipment your using for this

Ordered and PAID for my tires on 6/6 with an expected shipping date of 7/27.
Just got an email with an updated ship date of 8/20.
It's been so long now, they dropped the price $20 a tire, doubt they'll refund the difference when they finally ship.
Sure glad I ordered these long before desert season...that wait time is getting ridiculous.
Not sure if this particular line of tires are made in the USA or overseas.

Just in case you don’t know, when they arrive you can decode the DOT code on the sidewall and determine where it was made and what week.

I did see some news blurb about a rubber shortage coming a while back. Didn’t pay it any attention because the noise level in the “news” business is so high.

Haha I'm always checking the date, never thought to check the plant code, until now...

I heard about that rubber shortage as well about 3 weeks ago.

took me months to get the head gasket i had backordered.
I would love to return the set i have now, but i decided to just hold onto them just incase i need to replace a lifter or something.

I don't want to have the hoe down for months again, especially waiting for a stupid head gasket.

Saw this dude getting on the 101 in Sherman oaks.
Looks like it might have been one of those fire department rescue vehicles the way it had the bumpers and lights on it. Seen in a few others in the LA area like that but they weren't White.
Although he also put a Z71 sticker on the back, the passenger side had a little ladder going to the roof rack, and a sort of snorkel like a Humvee that stopped about halfway up the a pillar.
