That's odd. Isn't it just a thick O-ring? Maybe some debris is stuck between it and the flange. Whatever you use, be sure it's impervious to gasoline. Not much is.

Not on the Flex pump. It's probably 13 or 15 mm tall and has several thicknesses.

I don't think I've ever used anything to remove solder except copper braid. That's just how I was trained.
Did you have any polarity issues with the LEDs on the CC board? Just wondering if I need to test before I solder.
I have some copper braid but I didn't try it. I will next time.

And yes the polarity issue is the same as with the cluster. I stuck 1 led on and then plugged it in quick to test it. Then I tested the rest by watching that one go on and off.

Used a smoke machine on the evap system, found a leak near the fuel pump but couldn't tell exactly where. We lowered the tank a bit to be able to see things better but didn't have to disconnect any lines. Thought it might be the fuel tank pressure sensor but we put some air to the system and the pump gasket is leaking. It was new almost two years ago with the AC Delco Pro pump, so kind of a mystery as to why now. Have to check on a warranty replacement but even without that it shouldn't be bad for cost. Just the hassle of dropping the tank and swapping out the gasket. Wonder if anyone uses any kind of sealer on the gaskets?
I have never heard of using sealer on an OEM gasket since it's rubber. I used some on my 08 that has an aluminum fuel cell and I had to make a cork gasket for it. I used Gasgacinch Gasket Sealer which is gas resistant. So far no evap leaks in about a year. Permatex makes one too, Aviation Form-A-gasket.

I have never heard of using it on rubber, either. I'll be sure that we clean all the surfaces, and hopefully we can point to the defective spot on the two-year-old gasket so we know what happened.

I am looking at cross bars for the roof rack on the esky. Do these look like the right style?

These are listed for NNBS but appear the same.

Wife booked us for camping in a few weeks and I've got to find a way to get the old thule cargo carrier up on the roof.

@915_Tahoe when you have a chance, would you please look up a fuel pump gasket (tank seal) and pricing for me?

It's for my '04 Tahoe, 5.3 Flex Fuel, last 8 of VIN 4R199261.

I see a couple of numbers online so I'm a little confused about what's the correct one. G52 (19337980) and G39 (15103734). If G52 is correct, does it supersede G39?

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Cut the magnaflow out and install a different muffler or just pissed about money spent already?
On the pissed about money spent side, needed a replacement regardless as the original was damaged & didn’t want to buy stock again.

Today blower motor #3 went in and is coming out as soon as #4 shows up to the door, sad that we can’t even get a good blower motor for these trucks anymore...2 gm oem’s over heated and sounded like garbage, four seasons went in today and has motor whine pretty bad. Anyone’s curious stay away from gm #1581099 lol
