Just remember, you might influence the type of guy she is into later... :hahano:

I'd be okay with that!

Then the "cleaning this old gun" as the daughters new boyfriend comes to pick her up, "sit on down boy and lets have a talk"
Good reason to get that .50 bmg imo. :angels2:
Keep em respectful, dad is always watching etc. :happy160:

That has ALWAYS been the plan! Her current opinion of boys is that they're disgusting animals, all after only one thing. Speaking of guns, during one of our golf cart talks, I mentioned taking her to the range and she got excited. So, I've been stocking up on cheap range ammo. :D Any prospective boyfriend seeing videos of her confidently draining 100-round drum mags should set the tone.

I filled a K5 blazer with 4 12's in a gigantic box.
Old Gen 1 JBL GTI series, running off 1500 rms watts.

That old JBL stuff was pretty solid for mainstream gear. That brought back memories of watching the Sunday papers for doorbuster sales at Circuit City in the 90s - early 00s. JBL, MTX Thunder Series, etc.

I learned how to do electrical type stuff from that little experience.
And i might still have a slight ringing in the 'ole ears.

Yes! There's plenty of science and skills to explain and experience in all things automotive. I just gotta find ways to keep her interested in it.
Not a 50bmg, save your money and let me build you a McMillan Tac-338 or a MK21. The ammo is more accurate at both close and far range and the platform is much lighter than the BMG. Wait…I mean not that I personally have any idea what any of those acronyms mean, nor will I confirm or deny any of those allegations at this time.

Ordered new headlights off of Amazon for the Denali. With some led bulbs. The bulbs will have to hold me down until I can get enough coin for the retrofit.

I guess it just depends. I had my daughter get her own policy after 2 years on mine.
When I was 15, I bought a "project" car and started rebuilding it. When I was 16 I got my license and finished my "first car". I asked my Dad when he thought I could start driving my car on an everyday basis and he said, "when you can afford the gas, maintenance and insurance, you can drive it all you want". I had a part time job (night janitor at a family owned grocery store), so it wasn't long before I was shopping for insurance. Even back then it was extremely expensive for me to get insurance. All I could afford was liability insurance. My dad made it clear without comprehensive coverage I was on my own if I got into an accident.

I wrecked my car shortly thereafter and was back walking for a good long time. Heck, I got a PhD in the cost of living in my Junior Year of HS. :)

Our daughter on the other hand was always on our policy. Hell, she would still be on it of she could. As a grown woman living in Boston, she thinks cars are too expensive, so she takes public transit, taxi's and Uber. She thinks only a sap bears the expense of a car. Times change...

Our daughter is 10, and this is how she thinks about the differences between cars:

Are misfire counts stored in the pcm? I ask because I want to watch for them with my tech2 but they are gone within 30 seconds of starting the truck. I didn't notice this before the plug and wire change. I want to set the count to zero tonight and start it cold tomorrow and them look at which one it might be. Then to see if it follows a plug or wire.

Might be in my head too.

I don't know if they are stored but if you plug in a external 12v power supply (to the house) and have the tech2 all setup before you start it then you can monitor it from a cold start. if you do not have it plugged into external power it will reboot when you start the truck.
plug it in on the right bottom edge of the tech2, not on the cable.
