So, I was on the highway yesterday and the frontend just didn't feel steady. Got the alignment done maybe a month or so ago, but I had different tires and I thought it was just the tires. Took it back to Mavis who did the alignment. Now they're telling me I need the idler and pitman arm done, along with ANOTHER wheel alignment. That'll make 3 alignments in less then 2 months. My whole point is I know they must've been bad already as I haven't really driven it, so why wouldn't they check the complete frontend before doing an alignment that wasn't gonna be right anyway? More then happy to have me waste my money. So new idler, pitman, alignment with labor will be $700 out the door using Moog parts. This is with an additional $130 taken off. Shit never ends....

and this expensive crap is why i am very glad i do my own work, from a monetary outlook its the only way to go. price of parts and then the 60-80 for an alignment is all i pay. i know i got out cheap when i did the brakes on my suburban 4 rotors, 4 calipers, all pads, and all fluid was about 500 and that was at mechanic cost not full retail. not sure i want to know what the labor would have put that job.

Only a reputable shop would say they can't do it because of bad parts. Those are few and far between. Honest shops are so hard to find.
So true. That’s why I also do all my own work now. There was a shop I trusted for years to do the things I really didn’t want to do, and then one time they decided to rip me off. That was it.

damn it, shops by you are all trash. most shops wont even do an alignment after they inspect it and find bad parts.
This. When I pay for an alignment, it’s guaranteed for a year. And they know I’m going to be replacing / upgrading parts and expect it. So for that full year, I can go back and get it re-aligned for no charge. You need to find better shops for sure. Seems like you’re always getting shafted.

I do have a great alignment/ tire shop I use. It took awhile to find them. I used to go to a Point S but those guys are idiots. The shop I go to now specializes in custom, lifted, lowered etc. They’re the only ones I trust with my vehicles. Mount stretched tires and balance 26” billets? No problem. Align a bagged truck with the same setup? Yessir. And they’re no more expensive than the rest. I hope you can find a shop like that Tony. They have to be out there.

Just too bad I wasn’t able to warn you before you ordered. Sucks.
Edit: I just realized they’re a supporting vender here. Hmmm. Maybe do some damage to them by posting in their threads about your ****** experience?

Nice work!! F' em [emoji867] T.
Did rear sway bushes recently and mine measured up at 22mm. Yours sounds like around 30mm. That will stiffen the arse right up on it. At least you wont be waiting any longer mate!
Love that Skater Haters sticker you posted on spotters thread.
