Knock off brandLooking good. Is that a Spohn panhard bar?
Got them from ebay, they were branded CrownSuspension. But I did notice i have a hard hit on the drive side rear when hitting bumps, I'm gonna check and see if everything is supposed to be in its correct spot. I may have to do the free travel mode, I was hoping I didn't need to since you didn't have too. They were sold as 2" front 3" rear, I hope they didn't send me 4" rears.Nice color
Who's springs did you go with?
How's the condition of your rear bump stops?Got them from ebay, they were branded CrownSuspension. I took them out, should have i not done thatHow's the condition of your rear bump stops?
The rears should never hit unless you do a Dukes Of Hazard. How's the condition of your rear bump stops?
Yeah it hits ******* the driver side. I need to check and make sure everything is where it should be. Imma remove the spare tire to get a better view of it
Check if your panhard bar mount is hitting. You might need Spohn offset end links.Yeah it hits ******* the driver side. I need to check and make sure everything is where it should be. Imma remove the spare tire to get a better view of it
What are thoseCheck if your panhard bar mount is hitting. You might need Spohn offset end links.
Actually I meant DJM offset end links. They move the swaybar towards the passenger side about an inch so it clears the panhard bar mount. Look under it with the suspension loaded, maybe drive it up on ramps so you can get under it. Also check if you need the free travel mod while you’re under there, if your bumpstop brackets are hitting the frame when you go over bumps. What are those
I may need these myself soon.Actually I meant DJM offset end links. They move the swaybar towards the passenger side about an inch so it clears the panhard bar mount. Or you hit a big ass dip or bump.
If they hit at all you need to do the free travel mod, period. Those bump stops should never hit, unlike the front jounce stops which are supposed to make contact. When the rears hit it’s not good at all. So like I said, unless you’re jumping it they should never hit and if they do, start cutting those beeches off.Or you hit a big ass dip or bump.
When cutting the driver side bracket off, stick a piece of sheet metal or 1/2” plywood alongside the fuel tank to keep from damaging it. I used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and a sawzall. Buy plenty of metal cutting blades in different lengths. It’s really not that hard. With those bump stops in there it’s gonna be hitting all the time now so better do it pretty soon.So turns out the truck was bottoming out, the stop mount brackets were hitting the axle. Installed the bump stops for now, I guess it time to cut shit up
Will do thank youWhen cutting the driver side bracket off, stick a piece of sheet metal or 1/2” plywood alongside the fuel tank to keep from damaging it. I'm just running lowering keys with the Crown Suspension kit. I just had my ucas done. It was easier then replacing just bjs or bushings. Went with Moog.Hey @Tonyrodz are you running anything else in the front. I know I have to do an alignment for the front, but did you use or upgrade anything in the front suspension.
Had my interior carpets cleaned for the second time in 15 years. There are still about 4-5 spots that didn't come out, but overall it looks great!
