Good news--Changed my tire size. Stock was 265 70 16, swapped to 265 70 17 because nnbs brake swap.View attachment 273660 View attachment 273661 View attachment 273662
Hopefully it stuck.
That would be nice.you might actually feel that change in the way it shifts.
That’s why I don’t like pulling the needles off. There’s some YT videos on how to get them correct. The companies that sell gauge faces only tell you how to install them back like they were before you pulled it apart by taking a picture before pulling them but not how to calibrate them if they get installed wrong. It’s a PIA.I previously took apart the cluster to put some blue tint over the odo display. I reset all needles to the 1st lower notch--by sweeping needle all the way to the right til it hit the internal stop, then sweeping it to the left, to the 1st notch. I just noticed the speedo needle isn't resting on it either.
BooI just noticed the tach needle doesn't rest at 0. Eh...View attachment 273656
I didn't want to pull it apart but I installed that blue tint @iamdub had given me to cover up that bright ass odo display. As long as the other gauges are correct--hopefully--idc.That’s why I don’t like pulling the needles off. There’s some YT videos on how to get them correct. Me too lol. It was pretty accurate up to 50 mph, after that it would read around 3 mph or more faster. So if I was doing 75 it would say 78. I know because I always have my gps on.I'd be curious to know if you think it changed your speedometer readings, after you drive it for a bit.
The speedo must be calibrated in the TCM because Blackbear adjusted mine a couple times for different tire/wheel sizes. So unless you’re programming the TCM using SPS you won’t be able to do it with the Tech2. You need to flash the TCM afaik.Me too lol.
