AFAIK they only bleed the abs system not the whole brake system.
I understand that but how does it work ?? Is there a bleeder on abs. Is worth $139 to get the air out of abs ?

I’ve understood it as you only need to bleed the ABS if you change the Master Cylinder (or get air in from the master cylinder accidentally while bleeding the brakes).

This is what I'm dealing with I'm going to change lines so everything will need bleeding . System was run to point of zero brake fluid . And it has rusty lines everywhere .

I don’t know, never used the automated abs bleeding. I’ve used a Motive pressure bleeder to flush the entire system but never replaced the lines. There’s others on here who have though.

I bled my brakes first, just because I was swapping the fluid out. Then I did the automated tool procedure. I will say it didn’t work at first- I actually had to get in touch with FOXWELL support and they updated their software in 1 day, then it worked. Then I bled the brakes again. Pretty sure I never got air into the ABS system anyway, so I can’t tell you if it REALLY works or not, just that the procedure says it does and it completed lol

I got this scan tool for Christmas, it seems fairly capable. It is Chinese. I’d love a tablet style with all cars, but too much money $$$. It does what I need, at least for now. Other cars software is like $60-it supposedly will do the parking. Take procedure on my Honda when I need rear pads done also.
