You guys are the best...btw!! All of your posts made me really laugh out loud.

So I made my hubby drove the Sierra Denali home, I told him to follow me home in case of bad luck. I got stuck behind a old Ram truck that wouldn't do the speed limit... Since this new motor needs broken in, you can't JUST keep it at one RPM range... So I waited to a passing zone and... Well that Ram got left in the dust. Somehow I ended up home 5 mins sooner than the hubby... All he said is... You're gonna get a ******* ticket. Apparantely the old LQ9 couldn't keep up with my new beast of a 6.3. I think I did the math right with the overbore pistons making it a 6.3 now

LOL--NICE!! I hope you don't get a ticket, but it's so much fun mashing that pedal! How fast did you get it up to--so far. Can't wait to see the vid. Congrats on getting it all buttoned up.

I have only had it up to 5000 RPM so far, and it feels like it wants to peel the skin off my face, haha. I can't wait to get to 500 miles or so where I can finally brake stall this thing and floor it

Hahaha! Hell yeah brother!! Now I’m curious... I have a great mechanic, but he’s one of these guys who want everything OEM. Shouldn’t mess with anything. All are as they should be from the factory... ahem.. I want a contact in a more performance oriented shop. Can you give me the deets..?

I wasn't able to get videos today, work swamped the shit out of me. But... Hubby got a video of me leaving for work. Keep in mind she only had 30 or less miles on it, so the valvetrain is still a bit noisy and I'm still on break in oil. But this is wicked loud with my stock exhaust. I love this thing and I can't wait till I hit 500 miles. Oh.. I got a CEL for rear cat codes with my ARH catted system on my way home from work at 40 miles on it. I knew it most likely would happen. Enjoy the video, more will be coming

Haha, yeah I'm sure they aren't thrilled. But I'm not the only one, there's this subaru fartbox that has vacuum activated cut out on his boxer shit header... It sounds like how I fart in the morning when I wake up. At least the Tahoe is loud for a few seconds, then it lopes a bit

I am close to 100 miles on it now, and it's been awesome. My hubby has been stealing it a lot this week, but that's ok because he works 20 miles away vs my 5 mile drive. Tomorrow I'm gonna take it on a mountain drive, get it up to Estes or somewhere to get more miles and different driving conditions. I plan to use hubby's phone to get some videos for you all. I still haven't done WOT due to mileage, but I've used manual mode and I can't believe how much faster it is now. The only issue I'm having is the cat. efficiency codes, but once I'm broke in, I'll do a data log for blackbear for any tune change and I'll have the rear O2 sensors dealt with.

Oh... And I seem to be battling traction control... Even as I'm around 40mph and I get on it a bit, if it kicks down a gear, it hesitates a split second and
the traction light is blinking when it happens. I guess I'll have to turn that off, lol

I still have a broken camera, but all is well with the Tahoe. I have almost 300 miles on it now, and I've taken it up into the mountains and around Estes Park. I love it so much, it was almost impossible to keep it under 60 MPH going up the mountain. I will get videos soon, this has been a busy week at work. Oh and we have 12-20 inches of snow coming this weekend....

I still have a broken camera, but all is well with the Tahoe. I have almost 300 miles on it now, and I've taken it up into the mountains and around Estes Park. I love it so much, it was almost impossible to keep it under 60 MPH going up the mountain. I will get videos soon, this has been a busy week at work. Oh and we have 12-20 inches of snow coming this weekend....

I got pulled over by the popo today on my way back from Oreilly’s after picking up some parts for a buddy’s car I’m working on. I did my usual exit from their parking lot with a short hammer time across 3 lanes and merged into traffic, didn’t even notice the car I whipped in front of was a cop. Then I guess I followed that up with 2 quick lane changes without signaling. I was sitting in a left turn lane waiting for the signal before I noticed him behind me and was thinking hmmm wonder how long he’s been behind me. I headed down the street which was a 25 zone ( he said I was doing 31) and on came the lights. When he told me he was behind me the whole time I kinda thought oh shit but at the same time I noticed he wasn’t asking for my dL. He mentioned how my loud exhaust didn’t help which I acknowledged but then he said “which is fine, it just draws attention”. He said “ I just want you to slow down, that’s all I’m asking” and left it at that. I admit I get to 5-10 over the limit almost immediately every time but I also try to watch for cops so I don’t get caught. Still no tickets on my record for at least 20 years, not that I haven’t been written up. They just haven’t stuck. Having a fast truck makes it real hard to drive slow. I just can’t do it.
