ive tried a few too many to remember brands recently i tried bosch icon but i didn't even get to a winter season before something chewed them up??? steaks like a MF. I went back to trico onyx blades been pretty happy with them. every now and then i try something new but overall the trico onyx has given me the longest span and best ... wipe. my wife is terrible in the winter so arguably i only get 1 year from anything that has lasted long enough. generally due mid spring every year.

I used to buy the bosch beam wipers but a set of those will set you back over $50 and they don't work all that great at about 85+ they will lift off the glass, these trico are boss and are less than $8 each on rockauto plus they have a coating on them so they wont make squeaky noises either.
I have had good luck with the trico blades too. I found that if I wipe the rubber down with a brake clean soaked paper towel once and a while they will work for a long time. I have run blades for over a year including Wisconsin winters.

There is a place called Aero on amazon that has their own brand and makes them for other brands. They are the beam style, and the best thing about them is you can buy them in 2 different sizes on same order, but priced as a pair. They are equal or better than OEM and are at least 30% cheaper than Bosch or Rain X. I have prob used 5 pairs on my 3 vehicles over the years and they work great. I basically just change them once a year whether they need it or not. Worth it and at your doorstep the next day.. What's not to like...?

My biggest issues with ANY wipers is sap and leaves/stems from trees. Some stupid little leaf or stem gets stuck under the wiper and leaves a big line on the window until I pull over and pluck it out. And I'll use washer to clean sap off until the glass is clear then the wipers start chattering like a mofo. Annoying.

Several years ago I was with a riding buddy of mine and were coming from one bar to another on our bikes. A cop passed us when we had the throttles open and doing around 75 in a 55 mph zone. He turned around and my buddy, not any more by the way, just took off to try and out run the cop. He was gone gone. I did not do that and I pulled over for the cop. He asked for my license and saw I had a clean record and I was saying "Yes sir and No sir". He came back with the license and asked if I had been drinking. I said I did have 3 beers. He was surprised because everyone he asked that question always said 1 or 2 beers. He looked at me and said you look fine to me and thanks for pulling over and being honest. He also said my buddy was an ******* for leaving me like that. He said have a good evening and let me go. I may try to out run a cop if I know I have only a month to live but otherwise, I always pull over.

but did you get away :hmm:
Yes but to be honest it was more of a fast “hide”. Came over a big hill at twice the 55 mph speed limit to meet a squad head on I went down one side while he turned around on the other. While out of sight I slammed the brakes and turned into a driveway on the bottom of the hill That curved back behind some trees. The squad went screaming by and over the next hill. I quickly went the other way and headed for the next county and the long way home. Had the only 71 Dart in town so I was pretty easy to pick out of the crowd but I never did get caught.
