Yesterday, I installed the Corvette and Sonnax 4th gear servos, longer pin and replaced the trans filter.

Requisite pics-

Stock servo assembly compared to upgraded goodies. I had probably 1/4" of travel in the servo when it should be around 1/16"-1/8". With the longer pin, I'm right around 1/16". I'll probably get back under it to try to measure for a hard figure.

Magnet looked 'okay'. I mean, I've pulled pans with much more material on the magnet. But, I'm sure this isn't the first pan removal/cleaning, either. The gasket I took off was a FARPAK.

Pretty normal for that magnet. How many miles on the trans?

Not sure. I've owned it since 147K and it currently has 200K. I don't suspect the trans has ever been replaced, but I'm sure it's been serviced before. So, this magnet is at least 57K miles of wear.

Yup. I had trouble on the first one, planning ahead to use the sawzall.. sure enough took me about 20 seconds to put that blade on the damn things. Same thing on the driver side, and I don’t have any rust to speak of, these parts just take heavy corrosion.

Im talking about the rears bushings. Not the links. One of the bolts that holds the bracket for the bushings is stripped. Cant cut anything

if the bolt is out far enough stick some kind of wedge in it to pull on the bolt while you are ratcheting it out, a small crows foot type tool will work I have a mini crow bar that works great for things like this, sometimes even a flathead screwdriver will work

Just ordered my ring/pinion and Dura Grip from Yukon Gear and axle. Going from lame 3.08s to 3.73s

No more lame one wheel peel burn outs and bump up those times. Ran a 6.3 0-60 the other night untuned. So this swap and fresh tune should have this 5000lb ***** moving.

you know they sell the 3.08 & 3.42 with positraction G80 RPO for the tahoe (special order) it handles a ton of instant torque.. on a 5" drive shaft.. go look for a hybrid rear end if your "adding power"

3.42 on the caddie one

2015 Tahoe got her level kit, wheels (went with 20s instead of factory 22s), tires (275 60 20), rear brakes, rotors, changed out the chrome mirror caps for black ones and installed a smoked lens third brake light. Looking to replace the door handles with black ones, black out the tail lights, and vinyl wrap some of the chrome on the front, remove the side moulding and hopefully get a tune from black bear performance.

Looks good Britt, sounds like you got a plan for it.
Take a look around the site and you’ll see an entire section dedicated to ‘15 up... many ideas in there. Good luck.

I had two batteries sitting around that I bought while the burb was kentucky. Finally put one of em in, and I can say with certainty, a SIZE 65 battery works JUST FINE in the main battery tray. The only thing I had to modify was a couple of swipes with the circular file on the securing block, so that the screw could get a bit closer to the edge. Bolted it down, buzzed everything off with a wire wheel and she works perfectly.

The other 65 battery in the secondary battery tray is to come....
