I do like this, but that mount would interfere with my hood mounted rigid spot lights. I’m either going more forward on the hood or off the rear taillight somehow

Took 4 weeks since they don’t stock these older models, and have to get it made by Havis. It’s like $230 or something like that no cutting required.

I ordered mine from www.Responderpse.com. Shipping took 4-5weeks since the product company (Havis) doesn’t stock these, and has to make them per order. The different inserts; CB mount, cup holders, switches, blind panels, can all be ordered on that website as well.

Got the illumination lights on the switches hooked up! Lol. Still trying to decide on a mounting location for the CB antenna. Going to use a hood mount for the interim, until I can custom fab a rear bumper mounting bracket.

Worked pretty well as far as I remember, it's in a box somewhere, one day I'll put it in something again.

Had to add some 1/8” rubber edge protector to keep the high pitched chafing to a minimum. 3’ was enough for the front and back. It also doubles to fill the gap in the front restricting the red illumination lights on the switches from shining through. Still welding up a rear hatch antenna mount, so all the CB stuff still in the works.

Got the CB antenna mounted finally. Had to make a custom 1/8” steel bracket that supports it from underneath the bumper & behind the tail light. I’m pleased with the final result. Now to run the 18’ coax.

I agree. My main goal was to mount the 4’ antenna under the roofline, so it would still be garage accessible.

You'll want to keep the top (load) of the antenna as high above the metal roofline as possible to avoid SWR issues.

I’m aware, I haven’t tuned it yet, so we’ll see where it ends up as it sits. Expect an update once tuned
