Speaking of work, got on with a company up on the Alaska north slope in the oil fields . So 2 weeks on (7 days , 12hr days) , 2 weeks off. Roustabout , mainly front end loader operator.
Should be fun. About a 40% bump in pay, and it’s all because I took the initiative and got my cdl. Went from January this year working 2 jobs at Home Depot part time and construction full time to working in the oil fields in December . 2019 has been crazy to say the least.
Tahoe is gonna get some upgrades

Thanks guys . Been up here before. Last time I was working up here @ScottyBoy would remember is when I sent my gauges out to him. I was working 3 on 3 off. That sucked and was way too long.

Getting colder by the day. With wind chill it’s -50. Ended the day with -57. Believe it or not I’ve been in colder. Same place different job about 16 years ago it was -70 . If you think you’re having a bad day at work just remember you could be working in this

Thanks guys. Up here the #1 concern is safety. Any typical job probably take 40% longer because of the safety measures implemented up here (being serious). It’s like the military but even more intense as far as safety.
Last place you wanna get hurt is here in the middle of nowhere away from everything. There’s doctors and medics up here but nothing that can support major injuries or sickness.

I did see that there is an option to buy yearly coverage for Guardian medivac for $125 , so that’s cool
