1. faulty 12v+ battery..
2. faulty ground connections I used a heavy duty solvent to clean up the connections... I have not had an issue with the map sensor yet. no codes or pending codes...


after cleaning it the voltage jumped by 0.15volts from 14.65 to 14.8volts when charging state


even my fuel trims are way better too on Bank1 long term was +7-9 and bank2 was +9-11 once warmed up..



both are under +6 once warmed up



the plan is to replace the wires with new oversized wires... i found some 0 gauge braided ground strap cables

the Positive cable is way bigger in size then the ground cable (the factory cable is 2awg while the ground cable is under sized at 8 awg) so if there is a short there will be a fire ..

Call fire dept or google Highway Patrol install station.

Put towel folded in half under call seat. Lay an Amazon or Target online seat protector over towel to catch all the leaky diapers, vomit and unknown milk bottles that fall on the seat.

It’s easier to pull out a Target seat protector than clean up whatever on the car seat. The towel acts as a 2nd line of defense when you must throw out the seat protector.

Lastly, consider having a 2nd car seat. When one seat is just too far gone with crap, vomit and sour milk, a 2nd seat ready to plop in zero odor is heaven. Our kid erupted vomit as we left the driveway to the airport. We had no time so I swapped the seat protector and seat with the back up chair and threw the barfy one in the pool and tossed in a shock treatment.

Upon returning a week later I pull the seat out, hosed it off, washed the upholstery and it was like nothing happened. Most of all zero barf oder on demand. [emoji2]

FYI - in Canukistan there is a weight limit to using the LATCH system. I believe it is 65lbs combined weight (child and seat). After this it is recommended to use the seatbelt option. This usually occurs around the same time that you will be wanting to switch to forward facing due to child interest and the length of their legs.

Was mandatory by 2002.



using a seatbelt to secure it is equally as safe, it’s just a pain in the ass if you have to remove it. It also seems to loosen up over time if you’re using a base type system. Both my vehicles have center seat LATCH and our child seat has a base so they just stay in each car. Makes it easy.

LATCH. After looking it up, looks like sept. 2002 so I’m guessing model year 2003’s. My 01 Silverado had it in the back and the front passenger seat so it clearly existed before then.



there’s no such thing as an actual integrated car seat but some things refer to LATCH as that.

Dodge Caravans had options with built in booster/child seats starting back in the 90’s.

There are. Just not in the US.

BMWs had rear seats where the bottom pad could be actuated to a higher position. Built in booster.
