Good Morning Guys and Gals,

Took the plunge and ordered Morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 highs/lows as well as the XB fog assemblies. Truck is an 18' LT with the stock halogen set up. Will report back with photos and my overall thoughts after the install. I'll also be installing the PPV bumper valance at the same time. Enjoy your weekend!

Cheers,

Travis

Yes please that would be great I want to see how different they look. Do they look better than oem or look aftermarket. I have oem with LEDs in there now but just got all new morimoto hid lows and morimoto 2.0 LEDs for the high and fog lights. Just wondering if I'd be better off with the new complete housing? Just let me know thanks

Mail Call. Excellent packaging. Will follow up after install. Still waiting for the turn signals to deliver. Build quality appears to be great

I got a set of the Morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 for both the high beam and the fog lights havent swapped the fog lights yet to see if the new xb fog light assemblies would be a better option over the stock housing just adding leds. I never knew they had these till the other day.

I am waiting for my PPV lower fascia/air dam to deliver and then I'll install them and let you know. They definitely look better than the stock fogs, but unsure as to how they will perform in comparison to stock housings with led bulbs. My gut tells me they will be better just comparing the design.

I got all the lights installed this evening. I'll post up photos, install notes and final thoughts this weekend. What orientation do the led s need to be? Top and bottom or left and right?

Here are some various photos to compare stock and the morimotos as well as my wife's stock suburban and the upgraded Tahoe. The photos don't really do them justice.

The fogs are both yellow now. The photos have one with the yellow laminex and one without. I decided to go with yellow laminex for both.

Unfortunately my Gen5DIY wiring harness is set so that the fogs are on when the headlights are on. In comparison to stock, I'd say it is comparable. The only reason to buy the morimoto fogs is for aesthetics in my opinion. Again, my opinion.

Definitely a quality piece.
Install note, you will need to use stock fog mounting brackets and transfer 1 clip and all of the little compression shaft adjusters from your stock lights onto the Morimoto Fogs. Let me know if you run into any trouble. I used a socket, a screw driver and rubber mallet to pop them out. You will see what i mean when you get them.
